chapter Nineteen

I was surprised Greg came home today. After what transpired between us this morning, though he said hurtful things, I wasn't going to stop pestering him to call Sheila and Mr Noah back.

I welcomed him and Pete. They passed me and went ahead to his room. I continued watching TV because I couldn't sleep. I slept almost throughout the day. I miss having Sheila and the workers around. Their presence made me feel I wasn't alone.

I heard footsteps from the stairs and saw Pete coming down. We both greeted each other again. After exchanging pleasantries, I noticed he was bothered about something. He looked like someone who had something to say judging by how he didn't leave immediately. I took the initiative to ask him what was wrong.

" What's wrong Pete?, Do you have something to tell me" I asked

He was silent for a few minutes before he decided to open up.

" Could you make something light for Boss? He hasn't eaten since morning" he asked
