I had thought that being George’s assistant meant he was the only one to give me jobs. I didn’t know jobs could be outsourced to me. Zara, as nice as she was, gave me a ton of work to do this morning. I’d been writing a lot of reports since the day started and my fingers were beginning to ache from typing for too long.

However, I didn’t stop because I wanted it to be done today. I didn’t want to take it into the weekend and ruin my weekend with work.

I was busy typing the umpteenth report when I got a text on my phone. I ignored it, but another text followed after it.

[George: find a nice restaurant close by and make a reservation for two o’clock]

I sighed. He was always having business dinners and lunches and it was up to me to book restaurants in advance, but it was half past one, which meant it was a little too late. Then again, I had no choice but to obey my boss.
