Chapter 2 - Meeting Alexis

The next day when Zelina woke up. Niklaus still had not returned home. She quickly bathed... When she come out of the shower she headed to the walk in closet attached to the bedroom she noticed that there were men’s clothing and woman's clothing hanging in the closet she quickly took a high waisted skinny flair blue jean with a white lace T-shirt that was tucked into her jeans, she looked at the heels she grabbed a pair of navy sharp toe heels and a navy peplum style blazer, she grabbed a LV bag from the closet and put all her necessities in the bag, she wasn't used to all the name brand clothing but she knew the clothes she was wearing was expensive... Her husband had not hidden his wealth from her, but she still felt that he should not waste money on expensive clothes... But since he took the time to get someone to get her these clothes, she felt touched, she has been through a lot, and no one has ever done something like this for her... When she realized that she had no way of getting to work she started to panic this Villa was in the middle of nowhere and no cars of taxis came this way... 

She thought of phoning her husband but was scared of disturbing him... He might actually be busy with important work she had no right to ask him to come all the way back just for her. 

When she came out of the room Dina had prepared Breakfast for her... She did not have much of an appetite since she was worried about her new husband. She had barely gotten any sleep and she was dead worried about Niklaus. He had not even sent her a text message telling her he was okay. She wondered if he was okay... Just then someone walks 

"Dine have you seen Niki he's not answering his phone" She heard someone say

This Girl is beautiful, it I was a guy I would probably fall for her, she had long dark brunette hair, and light blue eyes, she had an amazing figure as well. She looks exactly like the type of woman Niklaus should be interested in. She looks amazing... Zelina thought to herself

Zelina would have been jealous of the woman in front of her if she did not share Niklaus’s eyes. She shared Niklaus’s smile as well.

"Oh, hey I'm Alexis... You are?" she says shaking my hand

"Hey, I'm Zelina, but call me Lina..." Zelina greeted her with a smile. 

"Why are you here?" Alexis asked looking at the blonde woman in front of her she looked oddly familiar, but she could not put her finger on where she saw her before. 

"You must be Niklaus's sister?" Zelina asks 

"Yes..." Alexis answered rather annoyed that this woman hadn't answered her question

"I'm his wife" Zelina said trailing off

"..." Alexis stood there mouth agape she could not believe it her antisocial twin was actually married and didn't even tell her. 

"No way the prick actually got hitched... How long have the two of you known each other?" She asked curiously

"Urh... We met on Monday..." Zelina stuttered out

"No way. He actually followed in my father's footsteps" Alexis blurted out. She knew her family was crazy and loved flash marriages, but her brother was so committed to the girl from their childhood there is no way he would ever get over her so quickly he spoke about her last week when they met for their weekly dinner together to catch up. 

"What's that?" Zelina asked bringing Alexis back from her thoughts

"Do the whole flash marriage thing." Alexis says she could not get over her shock. 

"Your parents did a flash marriage?" Zelina asked shocked 

"Yeah, but that was 25 years ago... Technically everyone in the family has done a flash marriage except my aunt Ken" Alexis explained 

Zelina only knew about Alexis, Zarah and Raven, she knew nothing else about her new husband and she did not get a chance to get to know him. 

"So, it’s actually a thing in your family?" Zelina asks 

"No not really, it's that men in our family tend to fall in love extremely fast. But yes, most of the men in my family get married within weeks of meeting their wives. Where's Niki?" Alexis asked

"I don't know. He left yesterday after work and he has not been back yet" Zelina answers honestly.

Alexis's phone rings she smirks and then puts the phone against her ear

"Mr. Jacobs what can I do for you?" She laughs "Rav how bad is it this time?" 

... 

"Oh no not Megan?" 

... 

"She did what?" 

... 

"How the hell did she steal your sperm?"

... 

"Why on earth is your sperm stored?"

... 

"Why would Grandma store your sperm?" 

... 

She laughs even louder "Long live the Jacobs family" 

... 

"Totally I agree each of them had too many kids" 

... 

"Especially my mom and dad" 

... 

"I'm at Great grandpa's villa" 

... 

"Niki is staying here. He moved out of his penthouse apartment."

... 

"Urh no I Just met his wife"

... 

"I know right I thought the same thing" 

... 

"Okay I'll speak to Niki about your situation" 

... 

"I think you should speak to Catherine though she's the computer genius in the family" 

... 

"You do know some of us have actual jobs, right? We do not own a night club where we can party all night and sleep all day" 

... 

“Yeah, yeah, Bye" She hangs up and looks at me for a second then she tilts her head slightly as she ponders

"Are you on your way to work?" she asks Zelina

"Yes." Zelina says as she nods 

"Has Niki arranged a driver or a car for you to get into the city?" Alexis asked. She knew her brother could be rather aloof about things like this once Niklaus starts to work he forgets everything around him that's why at age 16 he was CEO of the company.

"No..." Zelina says

"Okay I'll have my driver drop you at work" Alexis offered

"Thank you so much... I was a bit stressed about how to get to work..." Zelina says worriedly. Zelina quickly grabs her purse

"Where do you work?" Alexis asks as they walk out of the house together.

"I work at CoLab..." Zelina says

"You work for CoLab?" Alexis asked in shock. 

"Yes." Zelina nods

"Which department?" Alexis asks

"I'm a translator... I work in the language department"

"You in luck I'm headed there myself" Alexis says. She was actually headed to CoLab. She just had something important to tell Niki before work.

They got into the car. "To the company" Alexis said as soon as they got into the car

"Yes, Young Miss" the driver said. I was the first granddaughter and the second grandchild so my title in the family was slightly higher than the other female grandchildren. I was the only one to work for the family as well. Alexis thought to herself

"So do you enjoy your job?" She asked Zelina asking her about the company mostly because Niki would kill her if she was over working his wife. 

"I do. I have always loved France so studying Literature and French was second nature to me" Zelina says proudly

"I know my fair share of languages I know many of them aren't easy to learn" Alexis says, being a part of the Jacobs family meant a lot of travelling and business trips, so she had to learn each language having an interpreter with her all the time was a waste. The interpreters were for the staff not her. 

"Yes. it is not just the language it is the culture as well" Zelina says as her eyes lit up talking about different languages always got her excited.

"I see" Alexis says she seems deep in thought

"What are you doing at the company?" Zelina asked after a long silence

Alexis laughed at the question… Niklaus has not told his new wife about our family, or she has been living under a rock… Alexis thought to herself.

"Oh, I'm going to work." Alexis said in an amused tone

"What do you do in the company?" Zelina asked

"Oh, I'm just the CEO." Alexis says nonchalantly

"Just the-the CEO?" Zelina asked her jaw dropped she had no idea. What if she had said something bad about the company?

"Yip... I actually just wanted to be a designer, but my mom and dad wanted an early retirement, and my uncle didn't care about the family business, so the Simpson family business fell into my lap... It is more of a burden" Alexis confessed

"I see…" Zelina nods in understanding

Soon they arrived at the company many of the employees gave Zelina the drink eye and gave her envious looks arriving with the CEO of the company

"Lina I'm going to see you. I have got a lot of work to catch up on... Hang out for drinks some time?" Alexis says as she walks towards the private elevator. 

"Sure." Zelina nods in understanding she had a few reports to translate as well. She was late for work and her supervisor did not like her, so she needed to rush over to the 10th floor. 

My job just got a whole lot harder with everyone hating me for knowing the CEO – Zelina thought as she looked at all the hateful stares she was getting from her colleagues 

Zelina decided to have lunch in her office, because by lunch time she knew everyone in the company would know she arrived with the CEO and the hateful stares of this morning was enough to scar her for life.
