Lucas’s POV

It’s early morning, and I remember I spent the night at my parents’ house, in my old bedroom, which still looks like a mini bachelor pad. But, you know, it’s nice.

Emily is splayed across my chest, looking like all kinds of sin, and I love, love looking down at her.

As we lie there for a moment, I tap her shoulder.

“Hey, babe, you need to get up.”

She groans, rolling over before suddenly hopping up and rushing to the bathroom. I laugh quietly behind her.

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   At The Meeting

Clover’s POV As I wake up, I glance over and see my snoring husband.Yeah… he’s still my husband, and yes he spent the night again, and yes, tomorrow we’re going to see our lawyers. I have to tell mine that I only want the separation now and no more divorce. I already informed her through text and email, but I still have to say it face-to-face.I slowly slip out of bed, moving as quietly and quickly as possible. I need to beat Zade to the bathroom.Like a mouse, I move, silent and fast.I handle my business, flush the toilet, and hop straight into the shower. And sure enough… not even three minutes later, Zade joins me.I shake my head. I don’t even feel like arguing this morning.I just hand him the towel and body wash. He takes it and starts washing up, but of course, he has to help me too. His hands move from my back… down to my ass.I turn quickly. “Zade. We need to make this quick so we can get out and get breakfast.”He sighs. “Okay, okay.”We rush through it, soap up, rinse, d

I laugh quietly behind her.I slowly sit up, swing my legs over the side of the bed, and follow her in. She’s already testing the water and pulling off my T-shirt she borrowed before hopping into the shower.I take care of my business and then step in behind her.We quickly wash ourselves, hands wandering a little more than necessary as we do. I lean in and kiss her shoulder, and my phone starts ringing.“Shit,” I mutter. Of course I get interrupted now.I hurry up and finish rinsing off, but the phone stops… then immediately starts ringing again.I

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   The Escape

Daisy’s POVAs I stand up and leave the dinner table, I fight the urge to laugh. These motherfuckers really think I’m stupid. The Blackwoods really think I don’t know what’s going on?Please.I know everything.I know Brittany and Bradley just got picked up and not too long ago either. And I didn’t hear that from them.No.I heard it from my other source.Yeah… I’ve got someone on the inside in the apartment building. Someone who actually pays attention. Someone who told me exactly what happened when the police came and took them.Hunter? His chatty ass already got picked up too.Dumbass.Dustin won’t even talk to me anymore. And that tells me everything I need to know.Because if Brittany is caught… and Bradley is caught… and the idiots we had watching Emily got caught…Then I’m next.So yeah.I’m not waiting around for that.As soon as everybody in this house goes to sleep, I’m gone.Because if the police were coming, they’d already be here. Which means they’re planning something ei

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Dinner if Weirdness

Lucas’s POVAfter spending a little more time with my mother and Emily, we’re called down for dinner. As we head downstairs, I already know which dining area we’re going to. My parents have four different eating spaces, because, of course, they do. The kitchen area, the everyday family dining room, a formal dining room that seats ten, and then that oversized one that fits like fifty people. That last one is barely ever used.Yeah, they throw parties, but not like that.As we make our way down, I see my dad coming from the opposite direction.“Hey, Dad. What’s going on?”We shake hands, then he pulls me into a quick hug before giving Emily a side hug.“Nothing, son,” he says. “Just living how we live.”We step into the dining room, and right away, I notice Daisy isn’t there.Of course. The staff is already in position, waiting to serve, but no one looks surprised. They’re used to this.So we wait.Ten minutes. Then fifteen. Now thirty.I sigh and push my chair back. “Let me go get her.

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   The Beginning of Her End

Lucas’s POVAs I finish up everything at the Gerald residence, I give my sister a hug, and her estranged husband, because yeah, I’m calling him that. Not only is he strange, but she’s still moving forward with the separation… which is honestly kind of funny to me.But I don’t think that divorce is happening. They’ve got mediation in two days, not court, but close enough. We’ll see how that plays out. Last I heard, she already told her attorney, the pit bull, to pull the divorce off the table. And her lawyer doesn’t play, so… yeah. This should be interesting. As I step outside and head to my car, I scroll through my contacts. I don’t have Chris’s number, but I can reach his company. So I call.“Telanov Industries, how can I direct your call?”“Hi, yes, my name is Lucas Blackwood, and I was wondering if I could make an appointment with Mr. Chris Williams.”There’s a pause.“Are you thee Lucas Blackwood?”I smirk a little. “Yes, I am.”“Well… let me check. Tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., wou

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   More Revelations

Clover’s POVAs I walk into the kitchen, of course Henry has already cooked.I don’t even hesitate. I grab a plate immediately because, let’s be real, what’s the best way to please a pregnant woman?Food.I walk over, wrap my arms around him, and give him a kiss on the cheek.“Thank you,” I mumble, already eyeing the food.He chuckles and hands me a plate without even asking.I giggle and head to the table, sitting down as Zade follows right behind me like he always does. Terrence, who should honestly be back at the office, walks in right after and gets handed a huge plate.I just shake my head.Of course. He sits down with us, already digging in, while Bennett stays up front. I can feel it, he’s off. Probably still upset.I glance at Zade as I take a bite.“So… we’re calling Lucas, right? About Brittany and Bradley’s son?”Zade nods, chewing. “Yeah. The name I remember is… Telanov. Not sure about the rest.”Henry pauses, raising a brow.“Telanov?” he repeats. “Like the Telanov Corpor

Zade's POV Sunday comes faster than I expect.I wake up, stretch, and glance at the clock which says it's almost ten a.m. already. • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Lazy Days

ZadeI look down at the text messages about the DNA test and frown. What does Lucas really need from me right now?Is he worried about Daisy? • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   New Confusion

Lucas POVI’m home by myself this morning.Emily didn’t spend the night, and she said she had things to do, and for some reason, that bothered me more than I wanted to admit. It shouldn’t have. We’re still relatively new, still figuring things out, but the truth is, I’m really interested in her bec

  • The Billionaires Blind Reckoning   Two Faced Daisy

Third-Person POV As Daisy woke up that morning, she moved through the house the way she always did, slow, aimless, with nothing pressing pulling her in any direction.
