Shane’s POV

If there was a word to describe how terrible I felt, then I clearly didn't know if it. The hallway felt like it was pressing on me and squeezing the air out of my lungs.

I had agreed to the test and I had to stay for the hardest part…waiting for the results. I opened and prayed it was positive. If my blood could save her then so be it.

The doctor walked out of the ward and came to me. “Mr. Shane. The rest results show that you're a perfext match.”

That was all I needed to know. I was ready and didn't want to waste any time. My breath came out shaky and I felt like I was collapsing.

“How soon can we start the surgery?” I asked. My eyes focused on the doctor's face. The twitch in his lips didn't sit right with me. “Please, tell me it's today.”

His face tightened and he answered. “There was an accident and currently our surgical team are occupied. We will have to schedule the transplant for tomorrow morning.”
