I sat next to Laura and Seth as we ate our lunch, Heaven and Markus sitting on the other side of the hospital room sharing food from a plate.

"They look happy." Laura whispered, and I couldn't help but smile at that.

"Yeah. It's almost grows." Seth mumbled, throwing a glare at me.

I knew where he was going with this, so I rolled my eyes, dropped my spoon, and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Laura asked.

"To make a quick phone call." I replied as I watched out of the room, wanting to be able to speak freely to my sister, and hopefully get to the bottom of things.

I fished my phone out once I was outside, smiling up at the sun before I powered the phone and dialed Jenny's number.

The phone rang twice before she picked it up.

"Hey, Joyce. I'm so glad you called." She said, bringing an odd smile to my face.

"Yeah. And I'm glad you picked up." I replied.

Despite talking to her more often than I did before, I couldn't get over the awkwardness between us.

"What up?" She asked.

"Seth's been

I walked into the room and went straight for the pen and notebook Heaven kept with her."Can I borrow a paper?" I asked and offered me a smile and a nod, looking too happy to even care about what I asked her.I realized love does that to people.I ripped a page out of her notebook and wrote down Jenny's number before I walked over to Seth and Laura.I dropped the piece of paper next to Seth's plate and sat down."What is this?" He asked."What you've been asking for." I replied. He looked at me first before he dropped his eyes to the paper."Seriously?" He asked, to which I nodded my head."Jenny told me about it, or at least a little bit of it." I commented as I watched him pick up the paper and look at the numbers. "Are you serious?" He asked, and I nodded my head again."You two want to include me in this conversation?" Laura asked, glancing between us.It was not my place to tell anyone that Jenny found a second mate, especially since she asked me not to tell. "He's been asking

Joyce Feathers...I woke up to Ollen's arms wrapped around me. "Where did you go last night?" I asked, rolling over to face him."I went on a walk." He replied. My mind immediately went to Heaven. Markus and Seth probably left before sun rise. I needed to be there for her, along with Laura."I have to go to the hospital..." I said, glancing around to locate my clothes. Before I could pull away, Ollen tightened his grip on my arm, stopping me from leaving."What?" I asked, watching as he sat up.He pressed the side of his head against mine, leaning in to kiss any past of my body he reached first.Shoulder...Neck...Lips..."Ollen..." I mumbled. "I have to go.""Don't go yet." He whispered, stealing another kiss.I felt bad for wanting to stay with Ollen when I knee Heaven was having a hard time on her own. He traced his hand up my shoulder, brushing the tips of his fingers against my skin as he did, making a line up my neck, around my ear, over my eyes and down my nose."I tru

Alpha Ollen Kingsmen...I lay awake that night with Joy in my arms, her breath even and calming.I slowly traced the tips of my fingers over her bare back as my mind wandered back and forth to the conversation I had with her.She truly believed that my decision was wrong, and while I knew I had my own reasons, I couldn't stop myself from thinking that maybe she was right.I let out a sigh and carefully pulled away from her."Where are you going?" She whispered, her words slow and sleepy. "I'll be right back. Rest." I whispered back.Joy didn't give me a reply, so assuming that she's went back to sleep, I carefully felt around for my clothes, got dressed, and slipped out of the room. The high I got from being with Joy, from having my woman at my side, was very hard to pull down. However, instead of rising the height, I managed to drag my mood down by thinking about our farm and how we were close to losing it to another fire set by the Sea and Moons pack.I have to give it to Brian

I walked into the woods acompanied by the previous lunas."Back already?" Ollen's mother asked."Ollen's here, right?" I asked, looking around in case I caught sight of him."He is. He headed to the water fall." She replied."Thanks." I mumbled before I turned towards the direction of the water fall."So, trouble in paradice?" She asked, her whispers soft and comforting."No. Not really." I replied."Lying is a horrible color on you." She whispered, and I was starting to really recall why I didn't like their words before."We're just on a tough road because of the beta. But We'll be fine. We'll figure it out, like always." I said, speeding up so I could get to Ollen fast and stop talking to Lunas."Care to explain?" She asked."No.""I'm hurt. Maybe I shouldn't have told you about what we witnessed." She said."Please, not now." I whispered back as I reached the waterfall.True to his mother's words, I found Ollen sitting in front of the water fall."Ollen..." I called out."If you c

"Ollen?" I called out, wanting to calm him down, but from the looks of it, he didn't look like he wanted anyone to talk him down. Not even me."You people have tried to cripple us for decades, and now that we finally found out way, you want to burn us down, over and over again. Oour food storage wasn't enough now you want to burn our farm?" Ollen asked, his voice rising with each passing second."He didn't do it, Ollen. Even if he went out there, he didn't do anything to harm us. That should say something about him." Heaven pleaded, but Ollen shook his head."Yeah. It does say something about him. It says that he is only taking his time to do what he was sent here to do." Ollen snapped."Ollen, let's talk about this first." I whispered."There is nothing to talk about, Joy. I want these leaches out of my pack, and that is my final decision." He said before he turned around and walked away.I was scared he might walk straight into a wall with how fast he was walking, but with his hand
