Joyce Feathers...

I woke up to Ollen's arms wrapped around me.

"Where did you go last night?" I asked, rolling over to face him.

"I went on a walk." He replied.

My mind immediately went to Heaven. Markus and Seth probably left before sun rise. I needed to be there for her, along with Laura.

"I have to go to the hospital..." I said, glancing around to locate my clothes.

Before I could pull away, Ollen tightened his grip on my arm, stopping me from leaving.

"What?" I asked, watching as he sat up.

He pressed the side of his head against mine, leaning in to kiss any past of my body he reached first.

Shoulder...

Neck...

Lips...

"Ollen..." I mumbled. "I have to go."

"Don't go yet." He whispered, stealing another kiss.

I felt bad for wanting to stay with Ollen when I knee Heaven was having a hard time on her own.

He traced his hand up my shoulder, brushing the tips of his fingers against my skin as he did, making a line up my neck, around my ear, over my eyes and down my nose.

what a wonderful chapter Ollen is really showing joy how much he loves her! I hope she removes the bracelet soon so they complete the bond...it would be a bonus if he were to get his eyesight back!!

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   My sister's mate.

"Ollen..." I whispered. His growl grew louder as he stepped forward.I dared to take a step back, only to make him bark at me. "Wait... Listen to me..." I whispered."I don't know how to get you out of this." His mother whispered.I could tell she was scared for me, and that only made me feel worse."We can create a distraction for you, but the chances of you escaping himself twice are very low." She added."Ollen, listen to me." I whispered, thinking that maybe I could talk him out of the madness that had taken over him."It's me, Joy. Your Joy." I whispered, and he barked again like he couldn't care less about what I was saying. But I continued."Remember what we talked about earlier?" I asked. "We talked about what we were going to do in the future, about our plans to have another mating ceremony, one where we will truly become mates. Do you remember that?" He stopped dead in his tracks, and for a second there, I thought it was working, and it stupidly made me lower my guard down

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Night one.

I didn't open my eyes until Vice stopped dead in his track. The nausea hit me the second he stopped running, and while I had no idea how fast he'd run with me in his arms, I got a good idea of how far we were. We were near one of the open exits."Why did you stop?" I whispered, glancing at Vice before trying to follow his line of sight."None of our people are here. They're supposed to be here. They're not here." He repeated himself over and over again as he slowly stepped backward.I tried looking around, but I couldn't see anything, and I couldn't hear anything either."I can hear them..." He whispered, reminding me that vampires had a much better hearing abilities than wolf shifters."Our people?" I asked, but Vice shook his head."This is a trap." He replied before turning around and running back in the other direction.I nearly threw up with how fast he was running and had to once again close my eyes.He stopped once more."What is it?" I asked."I can hear Ollen." He whispered j

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Sacrificed a lot.

"What do you think is happening out there?" Heaven asked.I had no idea how to answer that. AOther than our own drumming hearts and soft sighs, I couldn't hear anything else. The outside was quiet. It's too quiet for me liking."They'll be fine. If the Sea and Moons had already arrived, we would have already heard something." Laura said, being the voice of reason."I have a bad feeling about this." Heavne said."Me too." I added. The three of us shared a look.Laura glanced down at her watch."It's almost midnight, ladies. Only six more hours, and we'll be in the clear. So let's stop thinking about the outside for now." She commented.I let out a sigh and pulled the covers closer to my chin. Taking our minds off of the outside was no an easy thing to do, but we managed to distract ourselves for a little while, talking about Markus and trading Heaven until her face turned bright red, listening to Laura tell us all the plans she and Vice have been making for after once the curse is br

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   The fourth full moon.

The preparation building up to the full moon was stressful. Despite securing everything like we planned, we would, the air felt a lot more tense. The people were safe in the cave, and the previous Luna's promised to keep the wind up and the woods dusty, so it would be hard to track them by scent. All the people who volunteered to protect the houses, storage, and the farm were instructed several times to make sure that they were hidden and couldn't be seen by anyone, especially Ollen.Sam and Mini positioned their trained warriors at every possible entrance to the pack to make sure that no one gets into our land without us knowing. Most of all, everyone was instructed to keep each other updated at all times, except for me.Everyone was told to make sure that no one would mind link me. Because Ollen would be kept in the loop, and if he catches me mind linking with anyone, he could use that connection to find me. I was very stressed, but with everyone in high alert, it gave us a little

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Securing a hiding place.

"I need your help." I declared after I stepped into the main woods."With what?" Ollen's mother quickly replied. "Did you finally decide to do what we told you to all these months?" She added, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes."In your dream." I mumbled, walking around the trees."Then what it is?" She asked, the whispers blossoming around me all at once.I could tell that they were getting impatient with me, and considering how I could die any moment without breaking the curse, I understood why they felt the need to push me to do that one thing I didn't want to."We have reasons to believe that the Sea and Moons pack is planning to attack on the full moon. And since we obviously have enough on our plates because of the curse, we need to find a way to defend the pack and keep out people at the same time while trying to keep me alive." I explained."And what does any of that have to do with us?" His mother asked."I'm getting to it." I replied. "To protect the pack, we need warrior

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   The Plan.

"Here is the plan..." Ollen said. "I'll handle whatever Brian is planning with Sam and Mini. Laura and Heaven, you'll have to handle Joy's hiding spot. We'll have to move everyone to a protected circle so they don't get caught in between Brian and myself. Markus and Seth..."I saw Seth straighten up, prepared to agree to whatever Ollen was about to say."I don't believe you two have healed enough to fight, so you'll be moved to safety with everyone else." He commented."No. We can help out there."Seth argued."I agree. We'll be more useful on the field." Markus added. They made a good point, but Ollen shook his head."Everyone else knows the drill about the curse. No one is supposed to get in my way on the full moon, not unless that wants to die. Not even by mistake. Brian will provide a good distraction for me, but that doesn't mean my own people will be safe on the full moon." Ollen explained, but the two weren't willing to back down."They you can tell us the drill." Seth said. "If
