Alpha Ollen Kingsmen...

I sat up straight with a start, feeling my heart suddenly drum harder than it had ever.

"What's wrong, Alpha?" Sam asked, reminding me that we were in a late night meeting.

There was a sudden shift, an uncomfortable twist in my guts.

For the first time in three weeks, I opened the mind link between Joyce and I.

"Joyce?" I called out. "Where are you?"

There was an indescribable silence. It was as if she wasn't even in the pack anymore.

I couldn't feel her.

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Celebration Is In Order

I woke up the following morning feeling like the two of us had conquered the world. I woke up with Ollen's arms still around me, my cheek pressed against his chest, his heart thudding against my ear.I couldn't explain just how happy I was, how light the weight on my shoulders felt. The sun peeked into the room through the closed curtain, and I wanted nothing more than to get out of the main pack house and announce to everyone that it was over, that the curse was lifted and we were no longer going to have to worry about the alpha killing the luna, and the curse passing along to the next generation.I wondered if the previous luna's in the main woods felt it just like I did, if they already left or if they were waiting for me. I hoped they would wait for me to at least say good bye. They guided me through horrible times and the initial matting ceremony I had with Ollen. I owed them my life, and would hate it if they left without saying a final good bye.I felt Ollen stir and glanced up

I placed a hand on the door knob and could already feel the tension in his bedroom."Joy?" I heard him call out so softly that it almost sounded like he didn't want to believe his senses that were telling him I was near.I twisted the knob and tried to open the door, but the lock resisted."What are you doing here? Why are you still here?" He asked, his voice still in the same distance as earlier."I wanted to come see you." I commented.Silence."Open the door for me, Ollen." I called out.I swear I could hear how loud his heart was beating against his ribs. "Leave, Joy. I beg you. Just... Go. Before it takes over... Leave now!" He ordered, panic rising in his voice. "I'm not going anywhere." I replied.More silence enveloped the inside of his room. I couldn't even hear him breathe in there."Ollen?" I called out again. "Please let me in.""Why?" He snapped. "So I can rip you apart? So I can lose you to the curse? So I can kill you with my own two hands?"I glanced behind me, down

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   It Will End Soon.

"I heard what your planning to do tonight." Heaven commented the moment she managed to get me alone. "Don't do it." She warned.I was surprised that Heaven was the only person Laura told my plan to, but I wasn't surprised with the reaction she had to the news."You're not going to talk me out of it." I said as I walked towards the main woods. She picked up her pace so she could cut me off and stand in front of me."Joyce!" She called out in a warning tone."You're worried for nothing, Heaven. I'm going to be fine, and tomorrow, I'm going to be standing in front of you unharmed and saying I told you so." I replied.Heaven opened her mouths to probably argue, but I walked around her and continued making my way into the woods."I want to be left alone for now..." I called out towards Heaven. "So please keep this between us."Heaven didn't follow after me, and I could only hope that she, along with Laura, would keep my plan a secret so it would be executed without a hitch. If Ollen finds

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Making plans.

"What did I miss?" Ollen asked. My head was still laid on his chest, his left hand buried deep in my hair, fingers playing with the strands."Not much..." I said and heard Ollen chuckle."No need to lie to me. I can take it." He commented.I leaned back a bit to look up at him. The bandage was fully removed. The pack might be healing, but we still had a long way to go. Which meant that our healing abilities were not that great yet. But I knew it would be just a matter of time until everything returned to the normal the pack knew before the curse.Heaven wanted to keep him in the hospital for a few more days, but that didn't mean the people of the pack couldn't come check on him right where he was.The entire day after he woke up, the hospital was busy with people coming and going, asking him how he was doing, praying for him and his health, wishing that he would be able to get back to his feet in no time.I didn't interfere. The people had been worried about him just as much as I had

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   He's finally awake.

The night I was told that Ollen woke up again was nearly two weeks after the last one. Heaven had once again forced me to leave the hospital and go to the main pack house."The people would love to have you for dinner..." She'd commented as she ushered me out the door.I wanted to stay behind and hold Ollen's hand. It felt like I would miss something important if I listened to Heaven and leave. Jenny had helped convincing me to go to the main pack house, and I had ended up going there and sharing dinner with a few of the warriors. My sister also made sure that I took a long shower, change into my night clothes and went to bed. She even stayed by my bed, insisting that she would be there until I fall asleep. It was an oddly sweet thing she had ever done for me, and I cherished it."I wish we were always close like this..." She'd whispered as she ran her fingers through my hair, reminding me at she was my older sister, someone that should have been at my corner growing up. I'd shot her

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   He'll wake up.

"Ollen... Can you hear me?" Heaven asked, and my heart jumped back into my chest when he let out a soft groan. "He's waking up." I whispered as if I was having a hard time believing it.Heaven grabbed his free hand."Squeeze my hand if you can hear me." She said.I kept my eyes on his hand and watched as he clenched his fingers as softly as he could.Heaven shot me a smile."That's good. That's very good." She declared, and all I wanted to do was cry out of relief. But I held it together and pulled Ollen's hand to my face.He didn't stay awake too long, quickly falling back to unconsciousness. I felt panic creep into my chest when his hands lost their strength and looked at Heaven."It's okay." She commented, once again shooting me her best smile. "He'll be fine. It's normal that he went to sleep again. The fact that he woke up is proof enough that he's healing. But he'll need more time to get up and speak to us like he used to."Her explanation did great to calm me down a little, bu

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   The two ways.

I stood there in shock.I was having a hard time believing what the two were saying. They were telling me that the whispers, all of them, belonged to the Lunas who were killed on their mating ceremony.Being killed was not enough. They couldn't rest in peace. They had to linger to this awful, curse

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   In this together.

I didn't return to my room after breakfast. I wished everyone had a good day and walked out of the main pack house. I wanted to walk around the pack and get to know people, learn about what they do, how they spend their day, and how I could start helping the land heal. The sun was bright, yet I fel

I stared at the phone in my hands, silently watching until it stopped raining and the screen darkened, showing me nothing more than the reflection of my stuned face. Why the heck was she called me?Why after over a month of silence? The phone started buzzing again, startling the life out of me.Sh

  • The Blind Alpha's Mate.   Accepted.

Mavus and Heaven led me out of the main pack house. They walked ahead of me, hurrying to join the people before I entered the woods, and the acceptance ceremony began. The night was windy and as cold as always, and while I wanted to wrap my arms around myself to keep warm, I refused to let it make
