Chapter 29: Finding Her

"Who are those for?" my mom asked as we walked back to the castle. The two of us were wearing caps since we didn't want to be recognized by others. However, my mom's voice was recognized by a passerby, so the two of us had to cut our trip short.

"You already know," I muttered under my breath, smiling as I looked at the box of cream puffs I had bought for Keilah.

She squealed in delight. "This still feels like such a dream. My boy finally has someone to love once again."

I smiled. "And I can't wait for her to be officially mine."

"Just one more day, Enzo," she said, patting my shoulder. "Just one more day."

We arrived at the mansion, and the atmosphere seemed more solemn than usual.

"Well, I'm gonna go freshen up. You go meet Keilah, then tell her to come to me so I could give her the present I bought."
