I bit my lip as I looked at the ring I was currently wearing. It was the one that Keila supposedly "stole," and it was also the one that Enzo gave to her yesterday.

You may be wondering how I could have possibly known. Well, it's simple.

I was there. I saw the very moment when he bought a gold ring for Keilah. They weren't too smart with their disguise, so I could see them from a mile away.

I'm not ignorant. I can feel what's going on between the two of them, and I don't like it one bit. So, when the king lost his ring, and Keilah conveniently had a very similar one, I decided to take my chance so she wouldn't be able to attend the engagement party.

But now, that plan's ruined too.

I've been acting kind all my life, thinking that it would be the way to get everything I want. And for the most part, it did. I'm loved. I'm famous. I'm the one they look up to the most.

Heck, even Keilah has fallen victim to my act.
