Chapter 18 | You're Different

Sleep seemed impossible last night when my mate was so close to me, yet seemed so far away.

As soon as I woke up, I got changed into a pair of black slacks and a gray cashmere shirt and I rushed to see her. I tried to pick something soft to wear so that if she touched me, maybe she would want to keep touching me.

I knock on her door and feel a little nervous as I wait for a response. I hope she doesn’t mind me seeing her first thing this morning.

The door opens and I see a short woman with black hair in front of me. She stutters as she greets me, “Alpha Apollo, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
