Lux’s face brightens after Marinette complimented her. Lux chuckles softly and says, “Well, I like you too.”

Marinette giggles as she sits beside Mason and smiles at him. She looks at him for a moment before turning to look at us and her eyebrows knit together as she asks, “So, how did the three of you know each other anyway?”

Mason looks over at me and Lux as he waits for one of us to explain. He doesn’t want Marinette to think that she’s just being used. I open my mouth to speak but Lux surprises me when she says, “Well, actually, we don't know Mason very well. We knew of him just like we knew of you. I was trying to find you, and this was before we knew you came out here at Canada and um, we met at a party. I knew the two of you were close and I asked if he could help us find you. He was hesitant, but I told him I would be looking for you regardless of if he helped and I thought you’d be more comfortable if he was here too.”
