Chapter 22 | A Different Bond

The last thing I remember was Kai’s wolf, Loki, forcing mine to push me out. My wolf, Jax, has apologized to me and seems frustrated over everything. He gave me full control as I continue to run in our wolf form back to the house.

I need to know if Kai and Lux were pushed out too and what on Earth Kai’s wolf could be up to.

I rush to the house, and I see Kai has already shifted back and is in a pair of basketball shorts and next to him is Lux and she’s in a sundress. I stop when I see her, as I can’t help but admire her beauty for just a second.

I huff as I get myself out of my daze and walk over to them. I ask, “Kai, what was with your wolf forcing mine to block me out?”

He looks at me, confused and startled, and looks over at Lux. I can tell from the way his eyes glazed over that he is mind linking her, but neither are giving any answer to what’s going on. I look at Kai suspiciously and I wonder if his wolf forced him into the back of his mind and just fully took over all
