Jo’s POV
I decided to go home earlier that I told Lily. Seeing Alex at the press conference made me realize that it doesn’t matter how much I am trying to hide and how much he hurt me, my heart still beats for him.
Last night when I called her and asked her to be Alex shadow, in case he might need JJ Consulting, she asked me why I am not coming back. I told her I was still in love with him and I couldn’t handle seeing him after so long on something so important like the press conference. She seemed to understand me but she made me promise to come back to the city and take it slow.
As I entered my apartment my heart skipped a beat. Every corner in here reminds me of Alex. I wiped my tears and went to the bedroom. Every trace of him has been erased but not the memories…I don’t know how I will let him go, but I have to. It’s for the best.
