Chapter 28

"'Mom, we were going to the park, we were going to dance there. Is it okay?” I said to Mom.

"No problem, my daughter. Just be careful.” I smiled at Gio, said "yes" to him and we appeared our hands secretly.

Mom was very strict, especially when there was a full-fledged dance in the park like this. She said that maybe something bad might happened to us, she'll be worried. It was a miracle and she agreed.

"It's a good thing mom agreed," I said.

"Well, of course. Your boyfriend is handsome, ayt?" he answered and pulled away from me.

“Yeah, right!!” I snorted.

"It's true, come on, the party has already started." He pulled me away.

"Mom, we're leaving!" he shouted at my mother.

"Alright, be careful!"

We walked a few minutes to the park. It's a bit far from our house but it's walkable.
