Chapter Seventy

For a moment, Aria said no words to me. Then she suddenly smiled, and when I thought we were finally going to have a conversation, the waiter walked up to the table, and I realized that she was smiling at him.

"Here's your cheeseburger," He said, setting a plate and glass in front of her. "And your coke."

Feeling dumbfounded by the smile on Aria's face, I watched as she told the waiter, 'Thank you," acting like everything was okay.

After the waiter had placed my order on the table, he left, and I took my seat before saying, "Can we talk now?"

"About what?" Aria said, picking up her burger.

Not wanting her to talk with her mouth full, I watched in silence as she ate her food.

Once she got done, I gently hit the tip of my finger against the table, striving to calm myself down, and said, "About the three men that you were talking with a few minutes ago."

"Oh, those guys!" Aria said, reaching for her glass of coke.

"Yes, those guys
