Bella's POV:

The cozy living room of their shared house seemed eerily quiet after the incident that day. Bella felt a sense of unease as she prepared a simple dinner of bacon and cheese macaroni. After dinner, she retires to her bedroom for the night. She had a nagging feeling that something was off with Avery, and she couldn't shake it off. As she settled on her bed after a refreshing shower, she heard footsteps approaching and looked up to see Avery entering the room. Bella sensed a shift in his demeanor, and she knew something was wrong.

Avery sat on the sofa across the bed, lost in thought and struggling to share what was on his mind.

Summing up courage, Bella walked up to him and sat on the plush sofa, forgetting all about blow-drying her hair which dripped water on her delicate skin in her nightgown. She tried to shake off the feeling that something was amiss.
