Ericka couldn't help but feel ease at his words yet she still has this small doubt on the back of her mind. 

Despite everything happening too soon, she shouldn't just lower her guard after all the heartache she has felt. 

A bitter smile managed to creep on her lips.

"I'm sure, you'll still remarry," she mumbled, whispering to herself. 

"What did you say?" Shawn asked, turning his head to look at her but all she did was look at her uncle. It didn't even matter anymore if her husband heard her since she knew the answer right away.

"Shawn, we're invited to dinner tonight." Not minding the words Ericka has uttered, he just shifted his gaze back to his father.

"What's the occasion?" he asked, confused about the sudden invitation.

Has he missed any celebration or upcoming occasions?

A smile drew on the old ma
