Mason's POV

I woke up feeling slight pains all over my body. Did something happened?

I began to recollect everything. How Skylar beat me to a pulp and how my guard chased after her. Did he return with her? I have to know what happened.

I tried standing up but the severe pains and headache I was feeling sent me back to bed. I'm definitely going to kill Skylar when next I set my eyes on her.

I look at the table beside me and saw my phone and a land phone. I picked up the land phone and called one of my guards.

  "Meet me in my room now" I ordered and hanged up

  "You sent for me sir" he said with his head bowed

  "Yeah. Where is James?" I asked him. James is actually the guard that chased after Skylar last night

  "We couldn't find him sir. We saw the other guards that went with you yesterday but he was nowhere to be found"

  "Alright. You can leave"
