Isabella's pov;

I went out with Noah, Evelyn, Sophia, and Carey, four of my high school friends.

"How come you're not drinking anything?" Noah asked, looking at the glass in front of me.

"Did Liam mention anything about coming today?" Evelyn asked Sophia.

"He said he had some work to do, busy guy." Sophia said with a shake of her head.

"I thought so, too," Evelyn murmured. "It'll probably take a few days for him to take a break from his work."

"I'm not sure why you guys let him go when he says he's busy but not when I say I'm busy," I explained.

"Because he's really busy and you're not," Noah explained as he sipped from his glass.

"Why do I feel like a third wheel when I hang out with you guys?" I inquired of Noah and Evelyn. "What made you date your friend?" I inquired of Carey. "How did you even end up with this girl?"

"Then bring Alexander next time so you don't feel like the third wheel," Sophia advised.
