Chapter seven

Brian's POV

It killed me to see her upset. She doesn't see how strong she is. I'm falling for this girl. Hard.

13

She finally cried herself to sleep so I picked her up and took her to her bedroom.

She looked so beautiful as she slept. I wiped a piece of hair from her face. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Honestly my parents don't care if I'm married or not. Elena needs help and I will do everything in my power to help her. I was so happy the day at the diner when she was my waitress. I seen her before and she was beautiful without a trace of makeup on. Kade and Elena deserve so much more than this.

3

I got up from her bed and made a phone call. Within 30 minutes I had every possession she had packed loaded on a truck.

I then fell asleep on the couch in the living room.

.........

"Get up!" I heard as I was pushed off the couch and into the floor.

"Listen to me. Last night never happened. I just... I never breakdown. It never happened," Elena said as she walked away.

5

Kade walked over to me and sat down on my back.

"Kade.... What are you doing?" I asked him questioningly.

"Sitting on you.... Duh." 3

"Why."

"Cause I can." Then he got up and walked to the kitchen. Everything but the beds, cabinets and chairs were in the truck to be moved to my house.

3

"Are you ready Elena!" I yelled to her.

"Yes." She said carrying a few things that weren't in the truck.

She acted as if she didn't break down last night. As if it never happened at all.

"Hey dude! Will you carry me? My feet hurt," Kade said with his hand outstretched toward me.

11

"Sure." I said as I picked him up and carried him to the car.

Elena was already in my silver 2016 Bentley Continental GTC. I told the truck driver to go on to my house. I sat Kade in the back seat and got in the drivers seat.

1

Elena didn't say a word as I began driving to my house.

......

Elena's POV

We pulled up into a driveway. I looked up and seen the biggest house I have ever seen. There were three visible floors and before we could enter the rest of the driveway, Brian told the man at a booth to please open the gate. The huge gate opened and Brian drove to the back of the house. There was a garage that went underneath his house where there was five more cars. He got out of the car and opened Kade's door. I got out and Brian led us to an elevator. I was still amazed at his house.

"This place is huge!" Kade screamed.

"I think you will like this room." Brian said as we followed him to a door.

He opened up the door and there was the biggest game room I had ever seen.

"Ahhhh!!!" Kade screamed as he went to play games.

"Now you follow me," Brian said leading me to another door.

"This is your room."

It was huge and my boxes were already in it.

Brian walked out the door. I laid down on the bed when I landed on something. I rolled over and picked it up. There was a small velvet box. I opened it and inside there was a diamond wedding ring.

1

I put the ring on my finger. I remember last night when I broke down. I only cry when I am alone. No one needs to see my walls fall down. I took the ring off and set it back in the box.

My door opened. I looked up into Brian's eyes. He shut the door and walked over to my bed and sat down.

"May I?" He asked taking the ring out of the box.

I shook my head yes. He gently picked up my hang and slid the ring on my finger.

2

"Do you like it?"

Nothing could stop the tingling sensation I had while Brian held my hand. I quickly stood up and walked over to one of my boxes and began unpacking.

"Yes. It's quite beautiful," I said shortly trying to block out all my feelings. 1
"Good.... Um... I scheduled you an appointment for Yale tomorrow. One of their representatives is going to meet you at my office to discuss your options for online classes." 2

"Thanks," I muttered

"You can pick whichever car downstairs you want."

"Thanks," I muttered again

"Elena what's wrong" Brian huffed at me.

I said nothing.

"You know it is okay to cry right?"

I looked in his eyes.

"I don't know why you won't let go? I'm taking care of you all now. What more can I do for you? Am I not good enough?! What is wrong with you? Let me in your head Lena. I actually care for you. I like you! Get that in your head." Brian said as he paced back and forth the room.

8

He put his hands on my face.

I jumped off the bed about to run away when he caught my arm. He pulled me into his chest while I cried. Two years of walls I have built were falling down.

He held me as a cried. I couldn't stop. He put my head in his hands and looked at me.

"I'm not going to hurt you" he said.

He slowly leaned in closer to me. I could feel his breath on my lips as he got closer.

"Are you okay with this?" He asked.

I closed my eyes and backed away slowly.

"Brian, I...I just ..I... Can't." I said running out of the room
