Now it was Kenji's turn to get her attention. He waved his hand in front of her face. When she didn’t respond he watched and waited for her to come to terms with what he had just said. It wasn’t going to be easy. Neither of them knew truly what Shannon was capable of.
Emma Jean finally spoke to him. Her voice was shaky and uncertain. “W-what do we do?”
“I don’t know. We don’t even know where she is, if she knows where you live or anything. All I know is you shouldn’t stay alone.”
“Yeah, I can just get a hotel.”
Kenji grabbed her hand. “I don’t think that would be safe. She could easily slip inside a hotel unnoticed and undetected. Haven’t you watched any crime shows?”
“No.”
“Well, if those writers or crazy people can come up with a way to get to the person they want so can she. Maybe she doesn’t know where you or your mom lives.&

Thunder started rumble while they were eating dinner. Sandra checked the weather station and found a storm was coming soon. They were in the middle of their second movie when the storm seemed to ease enough for them to head back to his parents place. The two of them looked at each other. It was silent except for the sounds of the movie playing in the background.
