The moment I saw the news, I knew Stamford Group had trouble knocking on their door.

Reputation wasn't something negotiable in the business and Baldwin was using the media to paint Stamford Group in a bad light.

“I caused this! I let that evil guy use me…” I say to myself.

Marie heard me say this and the next moment, she was ranting.

“Don't blame yourself for what that jerk caused!” Marie exclaimed.

“He stole your company files and betrayed your trust and you got fired for it. You are the victim here, that's the only thing you should believe.”

I sighed, “I know that too but it doesn't change that the files leaked from me.”

“Don't get absorbed in self pity, girl. Just throw out the refuse if you have nothing better to do,” Marie told me.

That wasn't much comfort. I stood up and picked the refuse. I had to throw them in the bin outside.

As I stepped outside and dumped the refuse, I couldn't help but notice a familiar car.
