Natasha

It was a Monday morning but I had slept in. I had no work today so there was no reason for me to wake up early.

By the time I did wake up, the mansion was almost empty, except for the workers though. Bruce had gone to work early and apparently, Abigail had to visit somewhere. She went with Maria as usual.

I was left at home stuck with maids who wouldn’t understand my instructions like Maria would.

I had breakfast by 10 and I checked into the library after that. The books I bought last

Natasha “By any chance, can you help someone break free from a toxic err… obsessive relationship?” I asked carefully.Dr. Emily looked flustered the moment she heard that but she didn’t let that expression last long.“First of all, I need to know the victim,” she said carefully.“I’m not the one,” I replied.“Oh great,” she touched her chest. She sounded glad to hear it.Now I understood why she was flustered in the first place. She must have thought I was the victim with Bruce as the assailant. She asked now,“Who is the victim?”“A friend of mine,” I replied.“You don’t seem like the type to have a lot of friends,” she said carefully.“Well, you are right. This particular friend used to be my best friend until recently. Please don’t ask why we fell out. It’s extremely personal,” I told her firmly.“I won’t ask,” she replied. “After all, we are supposed to be helping your friend right now. Can you bring her to see me? I will see if I can help her after we meet.”I sighed. “I’m not s

Natasha“I shouldn’t have confided in you in the first place. You are the one who caused this entire thing to happen,” she told me angrily.“How did I cause this? I didn’t…” I tried to say.“If you never asked us to leave the apartment, we would have never had issues with accommodation and I would never have been at his uncle’s place and he wouldn’t have asked me for sex either. You pushed us to the streets and now my whole life is messed up,” she told me without any hesitation.“I will accept that I am a little responsible for this,” I muttered.“Not little, everything in its entirety is your fault. Bajie broke up with me because of you,” she told me firmly. It would be hard to change what she firmly believed. I took a deep breath, knowing I had to be calm here. I should be her shelter right now, not the one who drives her away again.“Did you forget that he beat you up?” I asked carefully. “You can’t blame me for that. He did that because he was a terrible human being.” I tried to t

Natasha “Are you okay?” I asked, holding her tightly.“No, I’m not,” she replied. Of course, she wasn’t okay. She was crying and shuddering like a leaf.“Come with me,” I led her into my car. That was when I figured out I couldn’t take her to the mansion. Also, I couldn’t take her somewhere public. The only choice I had was to take her to my own house, the place I had asked her to leave.I drove her there and opened the door. She looked away when I pressed the pass code. Of course, she must still bear grievances for the actions I took. I’m sure she wouldn’t blame me entirely. She was the cause of it.“The house is a little dusty… it wouldn’t be like this if someone lived there,” she muttered as we entered. It was truly dusty and I coughed a few times.I opened the window, offered her a seat and a bottle of water. Both of us sat opposite each other.“Will you tell me what happened between Bajie and you?” I asked carefully. She smiled,“I have no other friends but you, Natasha. At that

The books I bought last time had been arranged by Maria and I began to check them out.It took my attention for the first one or two hours but after that, I got insanely bored. Books couldn’t do it for me anymore so I decided to see a movie instead.I got popcorn made for me and I sat in front of the TV as I watched the latest movie in town. I had read reviews about it being funny and full of romance. Well, it was but I couldn’t get immersed in it no matter how hard I tried.I should have known I wasn’t the kind of per

Kenzie The entire atmosphere in the office changed by Monday. The reason wasn’t far-fetched. Kelvin and I had posted pictures of us on a date yesterday. The conversation had shifted completely from a dating speculation to a confirmation. It was amazing how fast news spread in the company. It was an organization with tens of thousands of people as employees, maybe close to a hundred thousand if you check all subsidiaries. There were different kinds of people there. Stalkers who would check our social media handles for hints, gossip group admins who peddle false news, hackers who would spy on you digitally. Stamford Group was a whole world on its own.“So you are dating Mr. Kelvin?” Rosa, my assistant asked while she mixed her tea with the spoon in rotation. She was looking at the cup as if it was something special.“Yes, it ended up like that,” I replied with a polite smile.“Lucky you,” she muttered. I could tell from her tone that she wasn’t happy for me.“Is there a problem?” I ask

Kelvin I truly planned to go to Baxter’s gym this morning. Kenzie slept over last night but I figured she would leave in the morning. My plan was to go out with her at the same time. She would go home while I would go to the gym to meet the boys. That didn’t end up happening because the moment I saw her dressed up sexily, I wanted more.We ended up spending the rest of the morning cuddled up in bed. It was later in the afternoon that I got up from the bed when I heard the ringing of the doorbell. When I found out it was Bruce, I began to panic. Kenzie was naked and I couldn’t let Bruce inside like that. I had to step out to talk to him.Anyway, back to the present. “It’s probably because of me…” Kenzie muttered. She only showed us her head. I wonder if she was still without clothes. It was Bruce’s turn to be nervous.“Ah, I didn’t know you had a visitor,” Bruce said, looking away now.“I did,” I replied. “Both of us got a little bit distracted this morning and that’s why I couldn’t c

BruceI sat in a meeting with Kelvin and Kenzie the next day. I checked the submissions the directors had sent and none of them pleased me.“Those old gizzards!” I shouted as I threw their submissions on the floor.“This is the reason I have to replace them. Stamford Group has gone beyond what thes
