Chapter 15: Realization

A Week Later:

"Congratulations Mr Anderson, you're now the newest CEO in town."

Bryan smiled and outstretched his hands for a handshake. Once the man walked away, the smile on his face faded completely as he recalled he had gotten this far without Taylor by his side

She could have been the best person to support him right now.

"Hey, you alright? You should put on a smile." Stella said. She came towards him and held his hand. He didn't force a smile again.

"Excuse me." He said and walked away. Stella had to come with him because he needed to provide a support for the board and the only presence he could think of was Stella, but deep down, he wished it was Taylor standing right beside him.

Bryan got to the podium and picked up the microphone. It was time for him to say his speech. He stared at everyone standing and staring back at him and before he began, he cleared his throat.

A round of applause was heard next once he was done, and he stepped down. He had waited so long for this day
