The rest of the birthday party was a blur of forced smiles and cold sweat sticking behind my back. When I went back to the picnic table, I tried to blend back into the celebration. Caleb kept looking at me, I could tell he had like a thousand questions burning in his mind, but thankfully he didn't ask me anything at the party.
