Chapter 4

Sebastian’s point of view

The sudden taste of Ryan’s lips on mine fucked with my senses for a second before I regained control and pushed him off and away from me.

My palm swiped over my mouth in tainted irritation as I frowned my face, “What the fuck? What was that for? Eww!” I couldn’t help my brimming disgust.

Ryan smirked at me, a smug expression on his face while he remain muted.

“You’re sick in the head.” I heaved a harsh groan as I walked out of the hall. Still repulsed by what he did. What was that for? Why would he kiss me in the front of a nosy crowd?

There was a motive behind that kiss, I knew but was stuck trying to figure out what the motive was. My head pulsed with multiple questions as I got into my parked Deux Vayanne, brand new and worth millions of dollars.

I adjusted myself into the seatbelt before I wheeled my baby into motion and zoomed out of the vicinity. He sped through the litted city of New York, my mind loaded and etched with the night I just had.

“Ah ah!” I slapped the side of the wheel as I let out a knowing gasp. “I knew it!” After much thought, I finally pieced together a reason behind Ryan’s strange and bizarre gesture.

“He wants people to see me as the bad guy, and him as the angel. That sneaky bastard!” I spoke through gritted teeth, my grip on the wheels also tightened.

“I knew it. I fucking knew it!” I slapped harder on the wheels. “He wants people to think it’s a one sided beef. Because why on earth would he kiss me when he has a girlfriend?” I scoffed. “Now it’s game on for real.”

I sighed after my statement. I’m gonna fuck that bastard up for real this time.

The sound of my ringing phone nearly jolted my heart out of place. I groaned as I reached out to get it, and saw it was a call from my secretary.

I set the phone an a holder before I answered the call, “Yeah Donna?” I spoke into the call.

“Start explaining, I know what I saw on the internet aren’t fake,” she retorted.

I groaned even harder.

……Back at the Governor’s Hall……

Xavier’s point of view

The gathered crowd has dissipated once Sebastian exited the scene. I who stood behind the Governor quickly caught up with Ryan before he could also decided to leave.

“OMG. So he hates you, but you’re like in love with him right?” I quizzed as soon as I got to his side, my brows perched in curiosity.

We’ve been talking since the night started, I don’t think he’d be close up about his relationship or past with Sebastian with me.

“What is between me and Seb shouldn’t really be your business,” Ryan politely let me off. That’s still rude in my opinion.

“Oh please.” I rolled my eyes. “You made it everyone’s business when you took his hand, brought him close and place that kissable lips of yours on his. Gosh that was top notch!” I breathed in fascination.

“If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be on my way now. It was fun getting acquainted.” He smiled at me as he turned back to walk out of the door.

“Wait wait wait, what if I say I can help you?” I quickly stopped him before he could step out.

“Huh?” Ryan looked at me confused, because when did he cry to me that he needs help? He didn’t, but he reeks of it. He needs help.

“Well I know you’re in love with Seb, and I’m about to partner with him. That’s why he was my date to this old man’s party, we were to talk about our partnership and business. So what if I can get Sebastian to forgive you and love you back, and in return you ease my curiosity,” I proffered. All this just to know what happened between them, pathetic.

Ryan nearly slammed a palm against his forehead. I watched him held his hand down. “Talk to you later, Xavier. That’s if you’re still around.” Ryan didn’t wait for my response before he walked off and out of my sight.

“What a cunt?” I huffed at his disappearance before I turned around and approach the governor so I can also bade him bye.

The Governor was a friend of my dad, it was him he invited, but he couldn’t honor him so he sent down me, his son to stand in his name.

“My father extends his warm regards, and birthday wishes.” I tapped on the Governor’s shoulder when I got to him to earn his attention.

When the Governor noticed it was Xavier, he excused the guests he was in conversation with and decided to give Xavier his full focus.

“Yeah I got a call from him, said he couldn’t make it and that you’ll be here instead of him. I hope he’s alright?”

“Well he’s alright, but seriously lazy. Although I don’t regret coming down here at all,” I snarked at the earlier drama with Sebastian and Ryan. “He has a gift for you but I forgot that in my hotel. I’ll send it over before I leave for Spain. Come old man, let’s have a chat. How acquainted are you with Sebastian Torres?” I slipped my arm around the Governor’s own as I carefully moved us into motion.

“He helped during my campaign, I’m also an investor in one of his companies. And I’m not an old man,” Governor DuPont responded as he jerked his hand away from me.

“Yeah said that to the grey strands in your hair, or the wrinkles spotted on your face. And are we forgetting that I went to the same school with your kid, what’s her name again? Nah I don’t care, point is you’re an old man and I need you to give me Sebastian’s home address?” I formed a doe eyes as I pitched my request.

“Why would I give you that?” His brows furrowed in confusion.

“Number one, Sebastian is also about to become my partner in business so I’m not a stalker or anything. And two, you can dot dot dot. But seriously, I need your help with that.” I kept my twinkling gaze on the man as I waited patiently for him to cave.

“I don’t feel like-“

“Okay old man. I was nice enough. You can either give me that address, or the gold I’m meant to give you will suddenly get lost, and when my father gives me another one, it’ll keep getting lost. But you give me that address, I can even promise you more gold. Also this doesn’t have to make us enemies, but I know about your letters to my mother.” I smiled after I’ve successfully got him cornered.

Yeah that’s the best thing about knowing all of people’s dirty little secrets.

“Fine, I’ll text you the details. However, you need to know Sebastian Torres is one heck of a private man. The address everybody knows is not his main residence, his main residence is a mystery that nobody knows, but he randomly pulls up at the address he told everybody was his house.”

“You see. No harm committed. All you had to do was be a Good Samaritan, and you nearly made me a villain. All because I wanted an address.” I shook my head as I tsked at the Governor.

“You’re a fucking asshole.”

“Aww, thanks. It’s a nice crown to wear. Now send me that address before I put your ass in a hole you might never come out from. Toodles, and more years for you to celebrate!” I laughed at him as I sauntered off his premises.

Chapter 80 Ryan’s point of view I’ve avoided my office long enough so it felt a little bit unusual as my feet padded down the hallway that led to my office. Bows and greetings flew my way till I arrived at the sole entrance of my workspace. My secretary was nowhere in sight, probably yet to clocked in since I’ve been scarce in attendance and wouldn’t be around to criticize her tardiness. I don’t even care. I just want her around so she can update me on the team’s progress about extracting Matthew Simmons’s hidden identity. I haven’t called her about it in a while and she hasn’t also. I’m curious if it’s because there was no update or if there was but it wasn’t important enough for my knowledge. I slept at Selena’s yesterday. We binged watch a show she called her favorite, and debate over topics while we were at it. I’ve kind of missed her. She’s actually so fun to be with it. I can’t believe she used to be a dull and reserved child growing up, it’s absurd. My mom hasn’t called

Chapter 93Ryan’s point of view “What is it? No work today?” Mom quizzed from she stood at the door, leaned against the frame with her arms crossed inches below her chest. I raised my head up to look at her, wondering why she had a smirk on and brighter than usual. There’s no need to tell her I’m staying in today because I don’t want to face my reality just yet. I want a day off, all to myself, with my world’s shenanigans not shoved deep in my face. So instead of replying her, I returned my attention back to the random research I was reading about. Yeah that’s the weird thing about me. While everybody spends their off day watching a movie or a show, I love to pick a topic and research on, dig up stuffs and know all there is to know about that topic, then discard it when I’m done. That’s my own way of clearing my head. Doing that shifts my total focus away from my real world problems. Watching a movie doesn’t, I can definitely still think about my problems while my eyes are burie

  • The CEO’s Private Desires    Chapter 92

Chapter 92Sebastian’s point of view Not much could be proceeded with my plan yesterday when Donna decided dinner was gonna be a hard-work. She knew too well I don’t eat outside, I loathe take-outs or any fancy dishes there is to eat in a restaurant. If it’s not cooked by me, then it won’t be eaten by me. So we spent the rest of yesterday cooking what she wanted- which was a hectic meal by the way, luxurious and probably one of the fanciest I’ve ever seen. And while I did most of the cooking, she kept my ears alive with gists. When we were done she wanted to spend the night even, but I told her she’s intruded my peace enough. Though Ryan called me late yesterday, but I still didn’t share my plan to catch this sucker to him. I truly would prefer it a secret until its success. And today when I arrived at the office, the chief of security was the first person to walk through the entrance of my office. Donna did rang me up seconds ago to inform me about his request- which I permitt

Chapter 88Ryan’s point of view My conversation with mom surprisingly unknotted a complex bundle in our relationship. I’ve now chosen to forgive my mom for our past and give her a second chance. Let’s see if she’s going to be a mother, and if she has truly buried her wicked ways. All that’s left to tackle now is my sister. And I should’ve braced myself for the scream that’d follow after I went into her room without knocking. “Where are your manners?! Does this look your fucking basement?!” I let her rambled on, while I stay rooted to a spot near the room’s exit with my arms thrown around my chest and head lowered. “Now get out!” She came to the command after yelling my head off. My head raised up to match her fiery gaze, “I would have the minute I met your reaction after I came in. But what I came in here to do isn’t to leave. You’re going to hear me out whether or not you want to, you have no choice. But first, I’d like to apologize for not knocking, I was just eager to get in
