CHAPTER 63

Lois stood outside the restroom, her heart aching for Nancy. She could hear the cries and pleas from inside, the desperate longing for her mother's presence. Lois gently knocked on the door.

"Nancy, my dear, please open the door. Let me in. We can talk," Lois said softly, her voice filled with compassion.
