Aria’s POV

The drive to Nathan's estate was really quiet, Nathan barely paid any attention to me, the man was basically glued to his screen.

Finally, we pulled up at the estate as workers lined up to take my bags.

"Welcome home wife" Nathan said, getting down from his side.

"I'm not your wife" I gritted my teeth. All this was just an act till we found my sister, I had no interest in being with this man whatsoever.

"That's not what our wedding certificate says tho?" He was cocky.

"It's just paper" God he pissed me off so bad.

"Get her bags" he said to the staff saying something else but I had zoned out completely. Woah this place was huge. I was rich too but this was like next level rich.

Nathan took my hand and led me inside, the interior was breathtaking from grand paintings to expensive furniture.

"It's beautiful" I said, he chuckled in response.

"I have exquisite taste, don't you think?"

That cocky attitude, "Oh please exquisite my ass." Every single thing about the decor is beautiful but I was not about to admit that to this man and boost his ego.

"Such a smart mouth" he murmured and I rolled my eyes.

He led me upstairs and into a large room which I figured out was his room based on the size and interior. His bedroom was so Nathan coded everything was blue from the furniture to the big walk in closet to the big king sized bed.

“Did you plan this?” I asked.

“What?” He replied.

“Blue, I like blue,” I said, eyeing him.

“Is this some chance to win me over or something?” I rolled my eyes.

“In case you didn’t know Mrs Cross your husband’s favorite color also happens to be blue and no I don’t have any intention of winning you over, this is merely a business arrangement”

Mrs Cross? It sounded so weird coming from him. Never in my whole life did I picture getting married at all, let alone to this man over here.

“Sounds like music to my ear because trust me I hate you so much right now”

“Feeling is mutual”

I was about to give another comeback when I noticed my suitcase by the closet door.

“Wait, what is that?” I asked, pointing to my suitcase.

“Those are your things” he replied then shifted his attention back to his phone.

“Yeah, I can see that asshole I’m asking why my things are here, wait a second you don’t expect me to share a bed with you now do you?” I almost laughed.

“Well, the thought of a married couple sleeping separately doesn’t sit well with the media or your father now does it?” He replied sarcastically.

“There is no way in hell we are going to share a bed, what if things happen and you touch me in my sleep?” I yelled.

Nathan raised his brow, “I’m not that kind of person, even if I did touch you it would be with your permission when you want it. About the bed thing I’m way ahead of you, we will just divide it”

“Huh? What do you mean by dividing it?” Was he planning on whipping out a chainsaw to divide the bed?

Suddenly Nathan got a call and he got tense, “I have work to attend to, you are free to stroll around and do anything you like or go out but take security with you”

With that, he walked out leaving me standing there. What was I supposed to do with all this free time? I forgot my damn phone at the venue.

I lay on the lounge chair with my wedding dress still on and drifted into sleep. I don’t know how long I was out for but when I woke up I was changed into a nightgown and in none other than Nathan’s bed.

I looked around the room but no one was there, it was already evening at this point and I was getting hungry.

I went downstairs to find a maid clearing up the kitchen. “Oh Mrs you are awake, Boss told me to make you dinner and bring it up to you” She smiled leading me to the kitchen island, I sat down and she brought me food.

I was still eating when I felt eyes on me, I looked up to see Nathan staring at me, does this man have a thing for my face?

“Cut it out”

He cocked his head to the side, “I don’t know what you mean”

“Stop looking at me like that” I shrugged.

“You are my wife. I have every right to stare at you as much as I want,” he replied.

“You are such an asshole” I had finished eating so I cleaned up while he kept his eyes on me the whole time.

I was halfway up the stairs back to ‘our’ room when I heard him call out to me.

“Forgot this?” He was holding my phone. Finally, I was so bored in this place. I took the phone from him muttering a quick thank you and rushed up the stairs. I had been so occupied with the wedding that I hadn’t had time to call Liam and explain everything. He would have found out already, many news stations and blogs would have posted about it already.

I slipped into what I think was a guest room and plugged in my phone. Immediately my phone came on I saw dozens of missed calls from Liam and my father.

Texts from Liam ranged from surprise, confusion, and pure rage. To cut the texts short he was really confused when he saw posts about me taking Alexa’s place and marrying Nathan then going on to say he regrets not being there to stop me and finally convincing me to run away from Nathan.

I texted back explaining what happened and how I already had a plan to get out of this marriage but firstly I had to find Alexa.

I really hope she's okay, as much as Alexa and I were never really close because of my father’s favoritism she was still my sister.

A knock on the door pulled me out of my thoughts.

“Aria?” It was Nathan, what could he possibly want from me?

“Come in,” I sighed.

“We have a dress fitting tomorrow” he said leaning on the door frame.

“Okay now go” I said, not looking up at him.

“You know, you are the first woman or person in general to talk to me so rudely and get away with it”

“Such an honor” I smiled, His jaw clenched and I knew I started to piss him off which was exactly what I wanted.

“Dress fitting by nine in the morning, get ready so I’ll pick you up” he said before closing the door.

I kept scrolling on my phone for a bit, and Nathan and I were making headlines. Literally every blog was talking about our wedding and the way Nathan graciously carried me out of the venue.

I’m going to bed.

I crept into our bedroom slowly, it felt so weird calling it our bedroom. The lights were dimmed and the first thing I noticed was pillows placed in the middle of the bed. Oh, this was what he meant by dividing the bed.

He was sleeping facing the other side and I got into bed. The pillows created a barrier between us and I liked that.

I kept brainstorming ideas to annoy Nathan till I eventually fell asleep.

Aria’s POVAria’s POV “Absolutely not,” Nathan said the second we walked through the doors. Music was already thumping through the floor, lights flashing every which way, and I could see the exact moment his soul left his body. “You agreed to this.” “I agreed to a night out, not a fucking war zone.” “It’s a club, Nathan.” “Same thing.” Liam appeared behind us out of nowhere, already grinning ear to ear, clearly thrilled to see Nathan suffering before we’d even found a table. “Nathan.” Liam clapped him on the shoulder, Nathan’s jaw ticked. “Liam.” “You look thrilled to be here.” “I’m counting the minutes till we can leave,” Nathan murmured. “Love that energy for you.” Liam laughed and Nathan gave him a deadly glare. I looped my arm through Nathan’s, mostly to keep him from bolting straight back out the door, and steered us toward the booth Hailey had already claimed near the back. She waved when she spotted us, hair down for once instead of pulled back into

  • The CEO’s Replacement Bride   CHAPTER 51: Kissed Him Senseless

Aria’s POV I found Nathan at the dining table, halfway through his plate, tie loosened, looking like he’d had a long day. He looked exhausted and not in the mood for any funny business. Too bad I came with funny business. I dropped into the seat next to him instead of across, close enough that he glanced over, brow already raised in that way that meant he knew I wanted something. “What.” “Nothing.” I licked sauce off his plate with my finger. “I just missed you.” His eyes shifted from the plate to my finger, I noticed his Adam’s apple bob. Gotcha. I have him right where I want him. “You saw me this morning.” “That was ages ago.” He shook his head, but there was a small smile tugging at his mouth, the kind he tried and failed to hide whenever I was being ridiculous on purpose. “Okay,” he said, setting his fork down. “What do you actually want?” “Fine.” I dropped the act, leaning my chin on my hand. “I want to plan a night out. Club, drinks, shaking my ass of

Aria’s POV I was curled up on the couch, halfway through a bowl of ice cream that tasted too good, when my phone buzzed. Mom. I stared at the screen for a solid five seconds before answering, bracing myself for whatever fresh chaos this family was about to hand me. “Hello?” “Aria.” My mother’s voice sounded tired, softer than I remembered it being in months. “Can we talk?” My mum wasn’t mean to me or anything when I was growing up, but, like my father, her world also revolved around my sister. Alexa. Their perfect daughter who could do no wrong. Perfect my ass. Hey, stop that! Fine. “Depends, are you calling to guilt trip me into making Nathan fund Dad’s business? Your husband already tried and told him no, and that answer hasn’t changed.” “No, sweetheart. Nothing like that.” Sweetheart. She hadn’t called me that since I was a kid. “Okay,” I said slowly, sitting up straighter. “I’m listening.” “I want you to come over and talk, just the two of us. Your

Aria’s POV “Quick stop at the office,” Nathan said, already turning onto another road. “I forgot some documents.” “Define quick.” “Five minutes, Aria.” “Your five minutes and my five minutes are not the same thing.” He glanced at me, mouth twitching. “Are you comparing me to a bad Uber driver right now? I possess excellent driving skills.” “If the shoe fits.” I shrugged. He just shook his head, at this point, I’d learned not to fight him too hard on the small stuff. I need to save the energy and fighter in me for the real battles. The building looked the same as last time and memories of how I got dumped with water crept into my head. The second we walked through those doors, the entire lobby did that same thing again conversations dying with people suddenly finding their computer screens very fascinating. • The CEO’s Replacement Bride   CHAPTER 48: Shopping With My CEO Husband

Aria’s POV “Absolutely not,” I said, backing away from the boutique entrance. “You need new nightgowns,” Nathan said, completely unbothered, already holding the door open. “I have nightgowns.” “You had nightgowns, past tense.” This asshole tore my favorite one. “That’s your fault.” “I’m aware.” He didn’t even have the decency to look guilty about it. “Get in the store, Aria.” “Make me.” He raised a brow, and something about the way his eyes flickered made me immediately regret my choice of words. “Don’t,” I said quickly, pointing a finger at him. “Don’t you dare.” “I didn’t say anything.” “You were thinking it.” “I think a lot of things.” “Nathan.” He just smirked and walked in, leaving me standing outside like an idiot, debating whether my dignity was worth staying out here in protest or whether curiosity would win. Spoiler alert, my curiosity won, because five seconds later I was following him inside, muttering under my breath about controlling husba
