ELLA'S POV
I woke up to an empty room and if I didn't know better, I would have assumed everything that happened last night was a dream. As I sat up and rubbed my eyes, I suddenly realized that I had messed up. Damien had said that he had hired me but there was no proof that he actually did. What if I showed up at the company and their security kicked me out? What will I do then? “I'll figure it out somehow,” I said to myself as I got out of bed and put on my clothes. My eyes caught sight of his business card on the table and I noticed it was different from the one he had shown me last night. This one had a golden color like it was something special. Was this the invitation ticket to get into his company? Maybe he didn't abandon me after all… I smiled and placed it inside my pocket before leaving the hotel. I headed back home and freshened up quickly as I got ready to resume work as a fashion designer again. I had given up on it, thinking that no company would hire me because of my past with Jason, however, luck had decided to shine on me by bringing Damien my way. It seemed like life had decided to give me another chance after all the painful shit I'd been through. Before I left the house, I peeked at Mom's room to see that she was still sleeping soundly. A painful smile formed on my face when I realized that all I wanted to do was bury myself in her arms and tell her all that had been happening. However, that was a wish that might never come to pass. Shaking off the negative thoughts from my head, I stepped outside and boarded a cab as the driver drove me to my destination. When we arrived, I couldn't help but be dumbstruck. It was bigger than I had seen in those articles and on TV! I stood out there for minutes, just admiring the beauty that this company beheld. Working at a place like this is almost like a dream come true. “My, my… what a beauty,” I whispered to myself as I walked in, and just as I expected, I was stopped by the security men who stood outside. “Do you have an appointment?” One of them asked me and I shook my head immediately as I greeted them with a smile. “I don't, but I'm here to see Damien Rojas,” I replied and they all looked at each other before bursting into laughter. “Do you think the boss sees just anybody? If you don't have an appointment, then get lost!” The other bulky guard said to me with a mocking expression on his face and I frowned at how harsh they were. “Is this how the workers of this company are? You look beautiful from the outside, but on the inside, you all are rotten and disrespectful.” I said with a tsk and shook my head in disappointment. “What did you just say?” They bellowed at me and one of them stepped forward as he gripped my shirt in anger. “Who do you think you are to come in here and tell us what we are? I could fling you out this instant!” He spat and I smiled mischievously at him. I didn't know why I was acting this way, but I figured that whatever happened, I wouldn't lose anything anyway. If they kicked me out this time, I'd simply show up again until I met Damien. “Who am I? I'll tell you, my name is Ella and I really don't give a fuck. Oh, also, before you fling me out, you should take note that I have something important in my pockets.” I grinned at him and he narrowed his eyes at me as he let me go while I straightened up my clothes. “Leave and never return. You're just an innocent girl, you don't need all these.” He said as he turned around and went back to his post. “Oh? What about this? Does it mean anything?” I asked with a grin as I took out the golden business card in my pocket and showed it to them. I acted nonchalantly but deep down, even I didn't know the use or the meaning of the damn card. Their expressions changed in an instant and they all looked at me in shock while they whispered incoherent words to themselves. “H-how did you get that?” The bulky guard asked as he stepped forward and I realized that the card in my hand wasn't anything ordinary. “Damien himself gave it to me. Can I see him now?” I asked with a roll of my eyes before tucking the card back into my pocket. “Ahh, yes, yes, this way, please.” He said with a more respectful tone and I couldn't control the feeling of pride and surprise that surged within me. He directed me to the reception, where we met the clerk, and he instructed her to direct me to the CEO's office. “Thank you,” I said with a smile as I bowed respectfully and he immediately waved it off with an awkward smile on his face. “I hope that you would not hold a grudge against us because of what happened outside earlier… We were just doing our job.” He said with tension and anxiety written all over his face and I shook my head in response. “It's fine. I would advise you to be more polite to people, though; we are all humans.” I replied as I patted him on the shoulder and turned around to follow the clerk. Man, I felt like I was some special deity and it was all because of this card. I wondered what post he'd give to me since he apparently favored me already. I looked around in awe as I took in the beautifully built interior and my jaw nearly dropped when I saw the expensive mannequins that lined up in front of me. We got into the transparent elevator and I waited in silence as it took us up to the last floor. Everything was so beautiful, it felt too unreal. The moment we stepped out of the elevator, I heard someone call my name and my head whipped around in shock. “Ella?” “Sylvia?”DAMIAN'S POVI sat back in my chair glad I was able to discard Juliet without any casualties, she was for sure a psychopath I thought to myself as I chuckled, I kind of needed a little drama to spice up my day and I was glad I got some.I picked up the piled up files in front of my desk and began working on them. Ella's design's as always were unique, I didn't need to do much on her works because she knew exactly what to do and what not to do.I flipped from paper to paper circling my mind around every other thing aside Julie and Ella, soon my mind trailed off to Ella. Why did she use such a tone on the phone a few hours ago, could she really be mad or was I just having false thoughts. I found myself dialing Julie's number again.I sighed in defeat as I got up my feet and packed up to leave. I found myself leaving work earlier than usual since Julie went missing. I was lagging behind and I for sure knew that was what Maria wanted.“Meet up in fifteen minutes, usual spot” I texted Luke
JULIE'S POVAt the airport, I and Nicole were asked to go change our dresses. The body guards with us led us down into the restroom and handed over two hijabs to us, one purple and the other gray, I took the purple and handed the gray over to Nicole.I dressed in mine that instant and stood waiting for her to be done with hers, I looked around the restroom finding a place I could escape through, we were on the third floor so going off through the window wasn't gonna be a good idea, I heaved out and decided against even making an attempt to flee.I would accept my fate as it is, and the fate of this new girl with me who looked slightly older than me, I couldn't believe she had to let go of her life just to be with me. Mum said I needed help with me and going with my mate would make me more comfortable, I was sure she threatened one of her workers into giving out their child.“Nicole, right?” I said trying to make up a conversation in our awkward situation, she nodded her head in respon
ELLA'S POVStaring at the Harley Quinn in front of me, I wasn't sure what my reaction should have been. Maybe anger, jealousy or even pity, Damian wouldn't stoop so low as this, or would he.I thought to myself before sitting back down into my chair, I could guess on the incidence of that day, after Damian walked into the bar maybe the day I had seen him from a distance, he got so drunk and had a one night stand with the bartender, unluckily for him she hurried back down here after realizing who exactly he was, I chuckled underneath my breath.A part of me regretted not walking behind Damian into the bar that day, another part of me felt like letting out a loud laughter. Jullie was missing and here was Damian floriking around.“Hello sir, there is someone……….“Tell him I've got a property of his in my possession” she said cutting Laila into her speech, Laila looked confused for a second but picked up from where she stopped.“Here to see you, she claims she's got a property of yours t
ELLA'S POVI walked into the room, feeling a bit lighter after my discussion with mum, it felt like I truly got to speak to her and in a different way from how we initially converse.I never got to tell her I love you after the incident with dad and she never did so too. I was gonna walk back no matter how far the distance was, but I found Diego tailing behind me like he had been on me all this while.“How did you find me?” I asked the moment I hopped into the car.“Guess we both got lucky” he said as he started off the car, I nodded although I didn't understand what he meant by that.I wasn't quite convinced he randomly found me on the way but I certainly wasn't pushing on, not at this moment when I had a lot going through my head. I rested my head on the seat and drifted off to sleep.“We're here ma'am” I heard Diego's voice call out and I hopped out of the car. It had gotten quite late and I needed to get some rest.I walked in and headed straight into my room shutting the door beh
DAMIAN'S POVI found myself recently having nightmares, the next worse than the previous, I obviously was stressed as fuck, I couldn't focus on a thing the of Julie was really wrecking me into pieces, Luke's crew hadn't found anything of value after last identifying her at the airport. It seemed as though she had vanished right at the airport, Maria wouldn't let me in on anything and I knew she felt pleasure seeing me suffer, knowing fully well where Julie was kept.“Jullie is only a child, please let her out of this” I had said the last time she picked up one of my numerous calls.“She ain't involved in anything, she's fine where she is. She's happy too” Maria had said, but trusting on her words was the last thing I was gonna do in my whole existence. She clearly wanted Julie under her hand to have full control over me, I felt bad for jullie who would only feel like a tool being exploited by her own mum.I needed to see her, hold onto her hands and tell her she was gonna be fine an
ELLA'S POVI let the taxi driver take me around the whole of Texas as I watched through the window how beautiful the place was, I needed to think, I was being lied to but by whom I couldn't place a finger my fingers on that face,I heaved out ones more and I was sure if I had kept count of the numbers of times I had done that, it was gonna be the twentieth. I had noticed the driver's eyes were on me for over half of the ride, he kept on peering through the overhead mirror, maybe to confirm if I was gonna lose my sanity at any moment.“I'm good, stop staring and drive” I said to him when he wouldn't focus any longer on the road.“Where to?” He spoke up for the first time since I stepped into the car, only then did I realize I hadn't said a word to him on where I was headed. No wonder he was staring at me, I chuckled.“Downside Texas” I said as I smiled towards him, he nodded and took a left turn as he drove towards the house, I shut my eyes as I tapped my foot in the car. I needed to me
JASON'S POV“You gonna have to do it anyways” sounded like a threat, she didn't have to threaten me to get me into action.I now understood what she needed, it was violence, she had been trying to provoke me into treating her the worst way I could.Maybe she would have demanded it but she chose the wrong way, I was gonna torment her till she begged on her knees or maybe not.“You need my help with Damian don't you? She added as she let out a wild smile. I chuckled, seeing an older woman do the unexpected just to get laid was quite arousing.I moved my hands from her breast region back to her neck and choked her so hard as I hungrily kissed on her lips, she freed her hands from my grip and moved them down towards my pant unzipping them hastingly, I held back her hands in the air throwing it off, I pulled her by the hair and dropped her into the chair behind me.She seemed anxious but I wouldn't care, she needed to pay for the slap's she had earlier given me. I pulled out a single belt
JASON'S POVMaria was such an obscure woman, she thought differently and does her things in a different perspective, whenever she brought new ideas I was always left in awe, how the fuck would a woman think this way.I loved her for that, she matched my energy a lot. She's the best partner I've ever had. After my anger led me over to her house, for the first time I saw her range.I knew for a reason I shouldn't have gone over to her place but I couldn't control my fear, what if Damian made a move with the new information he got before I could get to her, he took me off guard and I wasn't gonna let him win this lap, not while I also had a card to play.“I'm in” I had texted Maria the moment I felt threatened, she was the only one I knew could be of help to me this moment and why not?.She was Damians biggest fear and weakness and I knew what a weakness could have on a person. I would love to see the iced Damian melt before a woman figure, how exciting the view is gonna be. I waited res
DAMIAN'S POVAfter my meeting with Luke, I was overly restless, I couldn't focus on anything as I checked through my phone for the seconds hoping a message popped up from Luke saying they had found Julie. My worries grew into fear as I wondered if she was okay, I tried her line over and over again, I dropped her messages by the second. My heart was no longer in its place as I wondered what might have happened to her. My phone beeped and it was a message from Dave talking about real estate investments and all.I flung my phone to the wall in anger and watched it fall to the ground with its scattered broken pieces. I hate that I couldn't do anything for jullie at this point. It was the worst feeling ever to exist. I took my bath and stepped out of the house.I had gone home earlier than I normally do but couldn't focus on anything, I needed some air. I drove towards downsides in Texas and found myself at a bar, I couldn't resist the urge to walk in.“Look at that car” I heard a voice fr
