Elisa couldn't believe it.
Ansel proposed to her without any effort on her part. And here she thought she'd have to go through much length to convince him. But she didn't have to do anything since he wanted her.
But now what? What if she got pregnant even though she didn't have to carry his child? Oh god....
She should've never let him come inside her. It was a spur of the moment decision, and now she'd have to be scared the whole month.
Elisa sighed, feeling frustrated with herself. But then again, would it be so terrible to be the mother of his child? It'd make her position even more permanent. Their child would inherit his part of the wealth, and she'll never have to worry about money again.
Elisa hated herself for having these thoughts, but at the same time, what was the point of feeling guilty? She was here to survive, and the only person she cared about was Audre.
