Reminiscing the past

“Dad, do you really need to leave me here?” I asked my dad while crying and hugging him tightly

We are currently here in the airport.

“I am sorry baby, but I need to go don’t worry I’ll keep in touch ok, finish your studies so that we can go anywhere you wanted to go after I finish the problem in the company ok” smile reassuring me that he will come back.

I didn’t say anything anymore I just hug him tightly as I cry. He kissed my hair as he started loosen up his embrace

“Now baby, be good ok, call me if you needed something” he says while wiping the tears on my eyes. I just nodded on what he said.

“Enough crying baby show dad your sweet smile before I go would you” he said while gently caressing my hair. I smile at him then hug him again, we bead goodbye as his flight was about to go

After the incident in the airport, I told Uncle Manuel to drive me at the nearest park for me to unwind.

“Uncle you may go get some foods for you if you are hungry fetch me after an hour” I smile at Uncle Manuel as I instructed him

“Ok anak (it means child)” Uncle Manuel said and smiles; as long as I remember ever since I was a kind he is our family driver he is from the Philippines.

After we arrived I got off the car and went straight to the bench to sit. I release a deep sigh and look up in the sky, it’s so clear it seems that it has no problem at all. I roomed my eyes and saw many people I smile as I saw a complete family smiling together, playing and having fun.  I felt sad on the scenery I saw I hope I experience that moment.

As I got bored sitting I stand up and ready to explore the park after some time I fund a big tree, after a while I sat down and sigh and started singing.

After finishing the song I didn’t notice the tears rolling down my checks.

I immediately wipe it using the back of my palm.

Then smile sadly remembering my happy memories with my dad and granddad.

After some time I saw Uncle Manuel near me just two steps away from me I immediately walk near him then he gave me an oversized jacket. I wear it as I felt cold we walk and went to the car.

When we arrived at home no one is there so I storm inside my room.

In the morning still I can’t find anyone so I just stay at my room

Then comes the second day, all the things changed. It became my nightmare.
