...........Next Day.
"She said, get out and never come back," I replied.
Noelle raised her brows and scoffed.
"Like I care, huh." She said and I shrugged.
We were huddled at our table in the cafeteria. I had gone to my workplace and was shocked when Mrs. Marcel wouldn't let me back after all my pleas to continue.
I sipped my coffee and dropped the mug on the table. "We need the money, you know." She shook her head.
"I can always ask my parents", she responded.
"Aren't you big for that? Gosh!, you got to quit that gig and start a reasonable job." I said and she rolled her eyes at me.
I huffed and looked up.
Two cute guys walked into the café and my memory recoiled at the familiar brown hair and body-built statue. My eyes widened when I remembered him, and I gasped.
"Are you okay? Is everything fine?" Noelle asked and looked back. She gasped and turned to look at me.
"They're fucking handsome." She squealed. I hit her on her arm and she winced, "Oww!! What's that for?"
"Stop drooling, get up. We are leaving." I said, grabbing my phone from the table, and she looked at me as if I had gone crazy.
"Are you mad? What is wrong with you? Do you know them?." She asked suspiciously, her questions were almost driving me crazy, and I didn't have time to explain right there, "I'll explain later, but right now I'm gonna walk through that door whether you like it or not." I almost yelled.
She still hesitated. I grabbed her arm, and started walking towards the door. She winced and began shouting at me to let her go, and I couldn't stand there and watch this man catch me. There's no way I'm doing that.
When we got outside the café, she pushed me away, and I staggered back, "What is it? Why are you causing a scene?" She yelled. I looked around and found people looking at us. I cleared my throat, turned without a word, and started walking toward our car.
"Come back here! Young lady." Noelle raced after me. I climbed into the car and jammed the door. I raked my hands over my hair and sighed deeply. I do sigh a lot, it makes me calm my nerves. Noelle opened the door and went in.
"What did you do?" She demanded and gasped dramatically, "Did you steal?" She shouted. My hands clasped at her mouth instantly as she struggled and only muffled out words." Shut up and stop being dramatic." I yelled angrily. She kept quiet and stared into my eyes. I removed my hand from her lips.
"I didn't steal from them, I don't know them." I simply said, not looking at her eyes.
"Don't you dare lie to me, Kat. I know you enough to know when you're lying. Sometimes I wonder what you take me for. You do not tell me things, not even about your private life. Kat, we've been friends for fucking 6 years, you know everything about me, but what do I tell you? The only damn thing I know about you is how your parents died in college, and how did I know? I was there when it happened." She yelled.
My eyes furrowed when she finished her last statement.
"Don't you ever mention my parents in our conversation ever again." I warned her strictly, ignited the car, and drove off.
……TWO DAYS LATER.
It's been two days since my little fight with Noelle. We'd not been speaking to each other, and none of us cared to apologize, but at some point, we would be pushed to say something to one another but couldn't find the right way to say it.
But today, I bought her a nice necklace and prayed she'd forgive me. Yeah, I needed her forgiveness. We've lived for years and yet, I couldn't tell her things about me. It's not like she'd snitch, nor did I not trust her, but this is just me being me.
As I walked along the dark road, after coming back from the part-time job I got from Harry Smith, my boss at the bar downtown, I couldn't find a cab home, so I walked since it wasn't that far from my apartment.
I looked up and noticed some guys walking towards me, with bottles of alcohol in their hands. I bent down and took my walk behind the pole, they laughed past me and I sighed out in relief, thinking I'd avoided a disaster.
"Hey." One of them called, my heart skipped, and I started walking faster.
"Hey, are you deaf? I'm talking to you."
At this time, I started running as fast as I could. I dived into another street and continued running. They were running after me.
Right now, I know that I am going to be dead in a few minutes from now, because I am currently standing in the middle of nowhere. There was no escape route and I could hear running footsteps over there. I looked around, searching for a safer place to hide, and my eyes met some bags stacked on the wall. I quickly went and squeezed myself into any space I could find.
"Where's she?" I heard one of the men ask. I swallowed up a big lump of spit as my heart kept beating at a faster rate.
"I saw her take this way. She couldn't have gone far." I blinked my eyes as I listened. My boss had warned me against walking alone at night before, but I didn't listen. "She must be hiding in one of those bags." Another said, and my heart jumped into my mouth.
"Hey beautiful, come out! We won't hurt you." I heard footsteps approaching me and I almost screamed out in fear. My hand clasped to my mouth and heat was beginning to form on my forehead. I shut my eyes, anxiety and fear almost making me short of breath.
"If I were you, I would leave immediately." A deadly voice said among them.
"What did you say?"
"Who are you?"
There was hope.
Someone was here to save me.
"Leave immediately." The voice was strong and bold. But how was he going to fight those boys?
"Are you her boyfriend? And who the fuck are you to order me around?" Their leader asked in anger.
There was no response. Instantly, I heard a blow and a groan. They were beating him. I'm doomed. Just when I tried to creep out, a human being was thrown over my eyes and toward the wall. I screamed and ran out.
I stood and watched this man beat up six men right in front of me. My throat dried up, my head was beginning to tumble, and I staggered back and fell. I could only see the handsome face of the stranger before I lost consciousness.
"She didn't take her pills with her.""Ooh OK." A deep male voice replied to her.I heard voices in the background. I could only pinpoint Elle's voice and the male, I do not know."Why is she taking pills?" The male asked her. She only coughed lightly."Ssh.are you trying to wake her up?" She asked all of a sudden. I knew she was trying to avoid that question."You all are," I muttered, not yet ready to open my eyes."We're sorry!" they whispered together."No use apologizing now." I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. Elle stood with her hand akimbo, and I looked at the male. My eyes grew wide when I saw him, "What for fuck sake are you doing here?" I yelled. My head ached at the way I shouted at him.I winced."I thought you said you were her friend, and you saved her," Noelle said, sitting on the bed. I looked up at her, "Yes, he saved me, but friends, I do not…""Stop talking baby,"She cut me off. "I'll go make your favorite tea, hm." She added and left.I looked at him, "Are you st
I walked the route, taking drinks to the people on the raised platform of the club where couches and coffee tables were. It was more like a lounge on that raised platform than anything else-in my opinion. Once I dropped their drinks, I turned and raced back to my bar stool. The club may have been busy, but there wasn't much demand for drinks. I watched the swaying forms on the dance floor, giving it my best effort not to stare at my stalker who had given himself the work of sitting in any corner of the bar while I served the customers. He's been doing that since I last had an attack on my way home. He was stubborn and strange. Once, when it was 5pm in the evening, he would occupy a seat and order one thing or the other. The way he usually stared at me as I served the customers, would make me feel awkward and strange. I would sometimes try not to act clumsy while dropping the drinks on their tables. I had stepped up to him and asked him to leave me alone, but he only told me that h
"Good morning, Kat." A cheerful voice greeted me. I looked up to the doorway and saw Noelle smiling at me, carrying a tray of pancakes. Grinning, I waved at her, "Good morning, Elle." "Do you want some pancakes? I made it myself." She told me proudly, I smiled and sat up on the bed. "Okay…" She walked further into the room and sat on the bed. I picked one of the pancakes and took a bite. "Humm…" Shaking my head, "It's really tasty." She giggled, "Right?" "100%," I replied and smiled while chewing it quietly. Then, she looked like she wanted to say something. "What's it? You look distant." I said. She nodded, "You know, hm. My mom is out of cash, and we've run out of cash lately. Can you give me some money? And I'll pay you back, I promise." I dropped the pancake and looked at her. "I spoke to your mom yesterday, and she did not tell me this…" I said, eying her closely."Ah…she called me last night, while you were at work," Elle replied. Lying bitch.I'm like a daughter to M
Aiden's POV."Moan my name, baby." "A.I.d.e.n.""Do you love it? Do you love my dick?" I whispered and bit her ear. She leaped up and moaned enthusiastically. "Yeah. That's feeling, hold on, I'm gonna cum now." I kissed her lips and positioned myself at a faster rate. Her moans filled the room as I dug deeper and faster into her hole when I felt it coming. Roughly, I pushed her hair backward as I spilled my sperm on her face, making her lick and swallow up a quantity. I got out of bed, grabbed my robe from the cushion, and put it over my body, I turned and found the bitch still lying on my bed. "What are you doing?" I asked, her eyes looking up tiredly. Who wouldn't after six rounds of sex? Hell, she's not sleeping over tonight. "Thank you for the sex, you can go now." I tried to sound as polite as I could. "What?." I walked to my bedside, took out a bundle of cash, and threw it at her. "I said, leave," I yelled and she jerked up. She quickly wore her dress and limped off t
I cocked my brows when he said that. I didn't ask him what he meant nor did he explain either. I was feeling restless, agitated and nervous. I wanted to stand up and walk through that door but the only thing holding me right now was Nuelle's mom, who I had come to take as my mom. "How much?," I asked. "Four hundred thousand a month?" My mouth hung, "Huh?." "I'll pay half and if you complete your work in a month, I'll pay the other half of the money." Okay, let me get this straight. I'm only 24, I was in my second year of becoming a therapist with a bachelor's degree until my parents died and my dream of becoming one today was shattered. I had to work for a woman as a secretary to make ends meet. My salary per year wasn't even up to $15,000. Therapists can make an average of $6,584 a month. At most, they might make $10,770 a month. At the very least they'll make $3,650 if they are just starting out or prefer not to pursue a doctorate degree.Individual therapists may make anywhe
Aiden's povA few minutes later, I spotted my driver and Jeremy beside my classical BMW car.As I pushed my carry on in front of my driver, Jeremy opened the door for me and I climbed in. "To the site," I said. "Yes, sir." A few minutes later, the driver stopped in front of my office building. Jeremy stepped out and opened the door for me. Though I heard many greetings directed at me, I walked past them without answering any of them. That's how it has been, and they've gotten used to it. My father started the construction company and handed it to me. I've been doing great at it. Since he died, mom has handled it better than I do. The fact that I'm not always in the country, she manages it even more than my dad. As I walked my way to my private elevator, I checked through my fingerprint scanner located at the elevator entrance. I got into it, with Jeremy following behind. He pressed the button on the 54th floor where my office is located. "Good morning sir," My secretary greete
Fuck!. Fuck!. Fuck!. "What the hell! Stop being dramatic." Gavin yelled. "Shut up, Man!!. This is the craziest fucking thing I've ever heard from my mom. To top it all, Lisa Mila of all people." I yelled back and ran my hands over my head. "She's a business partner, her dad is rich and she's a model. Wow, you're lucky. You've got it good this time.""Does it ever occur to you that I don't want women?" I asked and glared at him. "Okay!. You don't want women, but you take them home every day," "Yes, I brought them and I fuck them. See me dating any?." I asked him. He relaxed back on the sofa. "No, except your therapist." He replied and I stopped moving, my therapist. I have a therapist, oh my god, Kathleen. "Jeremy," I called. The door to my room opened and he walked in. "Sir.""Where's my therapist?" I asked him. "I saw her leaving the house in the morning." "Where do you think she went to?" I asked. "Not that I can explain. She just likes getting coffee down the street." H
I've been calling Noelle for the past few minutes, and she isn't picking up. When I inserted the key to our apartment, I prayed silently that Noelle would just come home and tell me it was not true. That the psycho boss of mine was lying to get me to stay with him. I walked into the apartment and went straight to my room. I located the switch and put on the light in my room. I jumped on my bed and laid down. Sometime later, I started hearing the rushing tap of a shower tap in the bathroom. My heart instantly jumped into my mouth when I found out that I wasn't alone in my own apartment. Who the fuck is in my bathroom? I jumped out of bed and tiptoed towards the wall beside the bathroom door. My mind clicked, what if he was a killer, robber or a pervert? And would I fight him empty-handed? The water stopped, and I quickly grabbed a single towel from my wardrobe. I stood still and waited till the door opened, and a man walked out of the bathroom with only a towel down. I darted towar
