Jeremy's POV

After the wedding, I got into Melody's car, and the car I rented was sent away. I was not happy. It was Ariana Brown I wanted to marry, but I could not just stand her betrayal. How could she be pregnant with another man? The thought made me angrier.

"Where would you like us to go?" I heard Melody ask.

I turned and stared at her behind the wheel. I couldn't believe I married her in place of Ariana. I shifted my gaze away from her and stared ahead.

"I need to get my stuff out of Ariana's apartment," I replied coldly.

"Okay," Melody replied.

She sounded like she was not at all bothered by my demeanour. It was a silent ride to the apartment. Melody parked the car, and I got down to go get my stuff.

"Should I come with you?" Melody asked, stopping me in my tracks.

"No," I replied and resumed my walk into the apartment.

Memories. So many good memories. I thought as soon as I entered the small apartment.

I walked into the bedroom, grabbed my small bag and collected everything that belonged to me into it. I opened the drawer and saw the toy ring I used to propose to Ariana when she was just 15 years old.

I sat on the bed and stared at the ring. Memories of Ariana and me flooded my mind, and tears filled my eyes. I loved her so much. We have been through a lot together. Especially Ariana. She sacrificed a lot for me. With my new job, I wanted to give Ariana the world.

"You had to betray me like this, Ariana. You were giving your body to another man, yet you would not allow me to touch you," I whispered on my lips and threw the toy ring back into the drawer. "I can forgive you for anything, but I can't forgive you for cheating on me," I said and stood up from the bed.

My gaze fell on a broken knob of her drawer. I remembered what led to that. I had come home from school and let myself into Ariana's apartment. I missed her. She came home around 10 p.m., tired. She took a shower, and we watched a movie on my phone while lying together in bed. I started desiring her, and I kissed her. She allowed me to kiss her, but when I took things a step further, she began to withdraw. I thought I could get her to submit, but things turned rough, and she freed herself from my grip. She got down from the bed hurriedly and accidentally broke the knob with her foot and got hurt in the process.

After recalling that thought, my imagination went to Ariana in bed with another man, and it infuriated me.

"Arrrhhh!" I roared, shutting out the imagination. "How can you do this to us, Ariana? All this while you were acting like a saint, you were giving your body to another man," I said angrily and punched my travel bag like it was the one that had offended me.

I adjusted my tuxedo and exited the apartment with my bag, leaving the door ajar. I dropped my bag in the back of Melody's car, and we left Ariana's place.

"I understand you are going to the Royal City today?" Melody asked, and I nodded, sitting next to her with a frown. "We can go together. Let me introduce you to my parents first, and we can leave," I heard Melody say and made a turn on the road.

I did not react to her comment. I only stared at her briefly, and my gaze fell on the ring on her finger as her hand rested on the steering wheel, and her fingers drummed away to a melody only she could hear. I recalled slipping the ring onto her finger on the altar a couple of minutes ago after saying my vows to her. I shifted my gaze to the ring on my finger, and I touched it, feeling hurt.

That ring was supposed to be for Ariana. I thought, shifting my gaze to the window on my side, wondering how I ended up marrying Melody.

It is Ariana I love, but she is now pregnant with another man's child. The thought made me angry again. I was loyal to her, and she cheated on me. I decided not to think about it any more.

"Still thinking about Ariana?" I heard Melody ask.

"No," I denied it.

"It's okay to think about her," Melody said. "She is my best friend, and I am also thinking about her," she said and made another turn on the road. "I was very shocked when I saw the pregnancy test results in her drawer. I only asked one question. Who is the father of her baby?" she said. "Truth be told, I know she works at the restaurant till late, but I didn't know she was keeping another man besides you," she went on. "It all makes sense now," she said. "She would take a quick shower anytime she returned, and there was that odour, you know, the sex smell, anytime she returned home at night, and I was around," she said and turned to look at me.

"Enough!" I snapped, angered by her words. "I don't want to hear it," I said angrily and shifted my gaze back to the window.

"I am sorry," Melody apologised and made another turn on the road. It was now a straight drive with no turns.

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Epilogue

It was over. The struggles, the battles, the lives lost, both innocent and guilty, all of it had led us here. To victory. To peace. A new era of freedom and respect for every form of life.Damien was everything I had ever wished for in a man. A great husband, a steady leader, an understanding partner, and a tender, devoted father. My love for him ran deeper than words, rooted in the very marrow of me. He wasn’t perfect, no one is, but I loved the man I saw. My man. My wolf. I was not born a wolf, yet the wolf spirit had found me, bound itself to me, and in doing so became a part of me. Together we carried this role, side by side.Sometimes, at night, I linger by the nursery door, just watching. Four little angels, sleeping soundly, their tiny breaths filling the air like music. Four heartbeats, steady and strong, each one a promise I never thought I’d live to see. Their soft sighs soothe me, their cries remind me we survived. Life had given me more than I dared to ask. And though carin

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 141: My Luna, My Love

Ariana’s POVThe newborns were so small, so fragile, yet so perfect. Their little breaths rose and fell in rhythm, their tiny fists curled tight as though they were clutching onto life itself. Holding them in my arms felt like holding the world....both terrifying and wonderful. Damien and I lay side by side, the weight of everything we had been through melting into this moment of peace as the babies finally drifted into sleep.A soft knock broke the stillness. Damien slipped from the bed and returned a moment later with a rare smile lighting his face."The baby nest is ready," he announced."That’s wonderful," I whispered, carefully scooping the little girl into my arms. She stirred but didn’t wake, her warmth sinking into my chest.Damien cradled the baby boy, and together we carried them out of the room. Michael pushed the door open for us, revealing the chamber opposite Damien’s room, the same room where I had once stayed when I arrived in his apartment, frightened and confused, wi

Third Person POV"Our future," Damien whispered, almost to himself, as the newborns stirred beside him. Tiny cries and soft movements filled the quiet of his room, grounding him in the moment. "It’s here."Ariana’s voice carried warmth and relief as it drifted through the receiver. "With everything that has happened, this is great news." But her tone faltered slightly, the weight of reality creeping in. "What is going to happen to their mother?"Damien’s jaw tightened. He glanced toward the door, where beyond the walls Victoria lay under guard. "Their mother made her choice. I will not condemn my pups with her. She will face punishment after her trial. That is all the grace I can give her. Tomorrow it begins." His voice softened as his gaze fell on the swaddled infants. "But these children will be raised by you, my Luna."Ariana was silent for a moment, processing his words. When she spoke again, her voice carried both sadness and conviction. "From the beginning, you said Victoria woul

Third Person POVMichael’s voice carried a finality that settled the air. "They’ve been captured. Victoria and Alpha Leo."Damien didn’t wait. He rose immediately, the weight of the war still clinging to him, and strode out of the hospital. Ariana remained behind to watch over Eve and Analica, who still lay unconscious, suspended between worlds."Where are they?" Damien asked, his voice a low growl as Michael fell into step beside him."In the basement of your apartment. Shackled to the ground," Michael replied.Minutes later, their car pulled into the familiar drive. Damien moved with lethal calm down the stairs, into the dim basement where two figures sat bound. Victoria, pale but defiant, and Alpha Leo, eyes glittering with something between arrogance and madness.Damien dragged a chair across the floor, its scrape echoing like a warning. He sat, posture controlled, though his wolf pressed hard beneath the surface. Michael remained to his right, steady, silent."For a woman in your

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 138: Perpetrator's Caught

Ariana's POVThe battle was chaotic. Claws, blood, and earth shaking beneath the fury of wolves. But I couldn’t sit hidden away in the cabin, safe behind walls, while Damien fought for us. I was his mate. Together, we were stronger. He needed me near, even if my body trembled with weakness from Sapphira’s awakening.I made Analica take me back to the battlefield. She hesitated, worried for me, but I wouldn’t be denied. My place was by Damien’s side, not in the shadows. She helped me lower myself to the field, close enough to feel the vibrations of snarls and impacts, yet far enough that I wasn’t swallowed in the storm. I sat, closing my eyes, and let Sapphira stretch within me, the spirit of the White Wolf weaving her strength into Damien’s. My heartbeat steadied. Through that tether, I poured into him, steadying his wolf, giving him every shred of power I had left.Analica obeyed my command to search for Victoria. I could only recognise a few wolves in the blur of fangs and fur: Dami

  • The Chosen Human Luna   Chapter 137: The Battle

Third Person POVThe clash of wolves tore through the night. Bodies slammed into one another, teeth snapping, claws raking flesh. The battlefield was a storm of fur and blood, howls rising and breaking against the trees. Damien’s wolf, Kai, loomed in the centre of the chaos, black fur bristling as he hurled Leo’s wolf across the field with a savage twist of his neck. The rival alpha crashed into the dirt but rose again, snarling, eyes feral red.Around them, Damien’s guards fought against rogues in brutal packs of two and three. Blood spattered the grass as jaws locked on throats, as claws dug trenches into earth and skin alike. A pair of rogue wolves soared overhead, using magic-enhanced leaps to crash down in unexpected places, scattering defenders.Inside the cabin, Analica dragged Ariana away from the worst of the fight, her magic shimmering faintly as a shield around them. Ariana’s breaths came shallow and weak, her human body unable to hold the strain of the White Wolf’s earlier
