Ariana's POV

I stayed in Damien's arms, processing everything Alpha Leo told me the previous night and what was happening now.

"Damien, what happened to Demitri's mother?" I asked the question out of the blue.

I was not even sure why I asked that question. Damien pulled away from the hug and stared at me.

"What do you know about Demitri's mother's death?" he threw the question at me with a frown.

"I heard you helped a friend's father, who happened to be a mechanic, to fix her car when you were just a teenager. You accidentally tampered with the brakes," I told him everything Alpha Leo had said to me.

"Were you alone with my father at any point in time?" Damien asked me.

"Damien, it doesn't matter how I heard this. I want to know your side of the story. I will believe your side of the story," I said to him.

"Aside from telling you I killed Demitri's mother, what else did my father tell you?" Damien asked me to my surprise.

I lowered my head, and Damien lifted my head, holding my chin
