Chapter 16- Red, White and Dark

Dark took a tentative step closer and growled. He was not the favorite of the three, but he was not the worst either. Pearl scale of magical creatures, he lingered around with affectionate pets and annoying assholes most days. Her hands rose to slip the chain around him, and just when she thought he was going to make her life easy, Dark showed her what a true pain in her ass he really was.

The massive, dark, and beautiful wolf leaps from the bed. His paws' talons pulled back, sinking into his skin quickly, and only smooth scales met Pearl's shoulders. She hit the floor hard. The boards groan beneath their weight. "Ouch!" she exclaimed, "Dark, you're bloody heavy!" Dark’s body surrounds her, blocking out the morning light and secluding her from the devious wolf.
