Chapter 42: The Package

On the way back to the apartment, Conrad can’t stop thinking about the possible reason behind the package he received from his father. He kept asking himself, “Why would he send me a package so suddenly? Can he not give this to me personally? And why isn’t he responding to any of my texts or calls recently?”. He starts to worry about his father since he knows that this is unlikely for him. He just hopes that he can receive an answer once he opens the package.

As they arrive, Conrad asks if they’re going to stay in his apartment for a while. Sadly, they won’t since Elizabeth needs to get home and start finishing her plans for her clients’ event.

As Conrad opens the car door, Elizabeth notices the package he’s holding. She became curious about it ever since she got in the car.

“Conrad, I’ve been meaning to ask, what’s that box you’re holding to?” She asked curiously. “It’s like your eyes are glued to it ever since we hit the road.”

“Oh, it’s from dad,”
