Chapter 45 ~ Does she know why?

Kiana’s eyes fluttered open. Her body felt heavy and her head felt like it was splitting into parts. She started to slowly sit up with a groan when a strong arm reached over and helped her.

When she looked around, she saw that it wasn’t her room. Panic started to build but Arthur’s scent was the first to hit her and she was calm. “You’re okay.” He whispered.

She looked around and saw that the room was actually Arthur’s.

It had a grey and white color scheme, with modern furniture and a large, comfortable-looking couch. The curtains were drawn, blocking out most of the sunlight, and casting a soft glow over the room.

Arthur sat beside her, his expression filled with concern. "How are you feeling?" he asked softly.

Kiana tried to remember what had happened, but her head was still foggy. "I'm not sure," she admitted, rubbing her temples. "What happened?"
