Chapter 49 ~ Will you Marry me?

“Where have you been!” Kiana hissed under her breath.

“I had an urgent meeting with my grandfather. I’m sorry baby, I usually leave my phone behind when I’m with him.” He kissed her hair.

Kiana’s heart melted and all the anxiety she had been feeling went away. “I hope you won’t vanish into thin air by the time I’m stepping down from the stage.” Kiana squinted her eyes at Arthur who flashed her a smile.

“I wouldn’t dream of it.” He winked at her and that made a blush creep up her cheeks.

Arthur took her hand in his and placed a kiss on her knuckles, Kiana was rendered speechless as she pulled her hand back slowly and walked to the stage.

As she stood and watched everyone present, her heart swelled with emotions because, in her previous life, the launch was not only a disaster, but Annabel was the one who gave the speech after Daniel convinced her that she would mess up if she went up there.
