Khair glanced briefly at Mega and Sean, and an idea immediately came to his mind. Then he said, “Mega, it seems your husband doesn’t agree with my help. In that case, I’ll take my leave.”

“Wait, Mr. Khair,” Mega said softly.

Khair laughed at her and took long strides as he left the patient room. He had already guessed that Sean and Mega could not possibly pay three hundred million at the moment, so he looked extremely confident, as if he wanted to defeat Sean.

After leaving, Khair revealed a sly smile and found the nurse in charge of administering Andin’s medication.

Quietly, Khair handed three million rupiah to the nurse. “Andin’s parents haven’t obtained the money yet. Later, please tell them to take care of the hospital discharge administration.”

The nurse smiled happily and nodded after seeing the amount of money given to her.

After Khair left, Mega’s gaze turned empty, her face filled with disappointment. “Sean, is your pride more important than your own child’s life?”

Sean fell silent for a moment and placed the cake on the table. He said, “I’ll go look for a loan first.”

“You’re going to look for a loan? Where are you going to look? Who would lend that much money? Right now, besides Mr. Khair, who else can take out three hundred million to help us?” Mega said irritably.

“I have my own way of borrowing money!” Sean shook his head and walked toward the corridor.

He had once started a business and also experienced failure, but over the past few years, he still had several friends.

“Sean!” Mega’s voice sounded from behind. “Don’t make me hate you!”

Sean quickened his steps. Mega watched his back as it grew farther and farther away from her. As if all strength had been drained from her body, she slumped down weakly. She felt regret, regret for her recklessness, regret for marrying Sean.

Mega’s gaze suddenly fell on the cake box placed on the table, and she was slightly startled.

Sean walked out of the hospital and lit a cigarette. He took a deep breath, then suddenly coughed, his eyes slightly reddened.

“Money! Money!! All of this is because of money!”

Although money was not everything, without money, his child’s life would be in danger. Sean found a place to sit and then contacted several numbers. But as soon as they heard he wanted to borrow money, all the people on the other end hung up.

In the end, he let out a sigh and took out his phone to call an unfamiliar number.

“It’s me,” Sean said coldly.

“Young Master,” the man on the other end said enthusiastically. “Did you contact me because you’ve thought everything through and decided to return with me?”

“Sorry, I can’t go back,” Sean said. “Uncle Roby, I’m contacting you because of something else. May I borrow three hundred million? I really need it.”

“Young Master, all of my assets belong to the Diningrat Family. Don’t say three hundred million, even my life can be yours!” Roby said with a soft chuckle. “But on one condition: you must sign the inheritance succession agreement. Only after signing can you obtain the money.”

“The matter of signing is easy. We can discuss it later. I really need the money right now,” Sean said.

He did not want to have anything to do with the Diningrat Family anymore, but with his child in this condition, he had no other choice.

“That won’t do, Young Master. The Master has instructed me that only after you sign the inheritance succession agreement can you use the family’s assets,” Roby said firmly.

Sean clenched his teeth. “Is there no other way?”

“I’m sorry, Young Master.”

Sean took a deep breath. He raised his head to look at the sky and put on a cold smile.

Had he finally chosen to obey his father’s words? Yes, indeed, he should do so for the sake of his daughter.

“Fine, I’ll do it,” Sean said.

He could feel pain on his face. “Where are you right now?”

“I’m at Martaguna Company. Where are you? It would be best if I sent someone to pick you up,” Roby said.

“No need. I’ll go find you right away,” Sean said and ended the call.

After the death of Sean’s mother, from that moment on, the relationship between Sean and Arga was bound by hatred. At first, he thought that even for a lifetime, he would not be able to let go of this hatred or accept his father’s fault.

But his child was seriously ill. He had no other choice and chose to lower his head, taking the initiative to let go of his resentment. This life was truly infuriating.

Sean extinguished his cigarette and took a taxi to Martaguna Company.

In the afternoon, when Sean arrived at Martaguna Company, just as he got out of the taxi, he immediately saw his mother-in-law, Natalie Margaretha, walking out of the building. He instinctively thought of avoiding her, but Natalie then walked toward him.

“You said you were going to borrow money, so what are you doing here?” Natalie looked at Sean with contempt and disgust.

“You really are shameless, Sean,” Natalie said while shaking her head and looking at him with disdain.Mega glanced at Sean Diningrat. She also felt extremely annoyed, but she did not want to scold Sean in front of her family. She merely let out a long sigh and said to Fikri, “Fikri, I’m sorry. I apologize for Sean’s recklessness, and I also thank your father for helping me previously.”“Sister Mega, what you’re saying is a bit too serious. Actually, I didn’t intend to say all this, but brother-in-law forced me. I had no choice but to call my father to prove that what I said was true,” Fikri put on an expression as if he were helpless.Mega did not see Fikri’s hypocrisy at all. On the contrary, she increasingly felt that when comparing her husband to this future brother-in-law, the difference was immediately obvious. They truly could not be compared.“Sean, do you still think that Fikri doesn’t deserve an apology from you?” Natalie asked again.Sean felt somewhat annoyed, but after th

“Brother-in-law, what do you mean? Just because you are useless doesn’t mean others are also incapable like you. If it weren’t for Uncle Fikri’s help, would you have been able to help her?” Seeing Sean doubt her boyfriend, Jennie immediately felt irritated.“Whether I helped her or not is not important. What matters most is whether this person dares to call his father in front of us. Or you can also call Roby and Fathir. I have the contact information for both of them, or should I be the one to call?” Sean said with a cold smile.“Go ahead and call, but if it ends up embarrassing you, don’t blame me for not respecting you,” Jennie said with a sneer.Sean gave a cold smile when he heard Jennie’s words.“Fikri, hurry up and call your father now. Let someone see just how powerful your family is,” Jennie urged.Mega and Natalie also looked at Fikri. Fikri hesitated slightly; he felt extremely anxious. But thinking of his tacit understanding with his father, he decided to take the risk. If

On one hand, it was for her daughter’s own good. On the other hand, if her daughter could marry into a wealthy family, then their family would become more respectable.“I was just joking, Sis. Don’t take it seriously,” Jennie laughed.“Oh right, Fikri, I mentioned this to you two days ago. Was it you who secretly helped my sister?” Jennie suddenly turned to Fikri beside her and asked.“Huh? Me? I, I only mentioned it to my father. I don’t know whether he went to Harrison and contacted the Director to help Sister Mega or not. I’ll ask him when I get back,” Fikri replied hesitantly.“There’s no need to ask. Back then, your father was also the one who stepped in to help us, which was why Martaguna Company gave that business to my mother. This time, it must be your father again. I didn’t expect your father’s connections to be so extensive,” Jennie said confidently.“That’s not an exaggeration. Although my family company isn’t very large, my father’s connections are indeed impressive. Almo

“Wow, Sis, you’re amazing. You’ve only been at that company for one year and you’ve already been promoted to sales department supervisor. It seems your boss is truly wise and knows how to recognize talent,” Jennie praised her.“What ability do I even have, don’t you know that? I was just lucky,” Mega said with a smile. What she said was indeed true. If it weren’t for the mysterious person who secretly helped her win the Harrison project, she wouldn’t have been qualified to be promoted to sales department supervisor.“Mega, don’t belittle yourself too much. Oh right, now that you’ve been promoted to sales department supervisor, your income is much higher. In the future, you must manage your bank card well. Don’t spend your money on useless people,” Natalie said with a hidden meaning as she looked at Sean Diningrat.“Mom, Sean has his own job,” Mega felt slightly awkward. She could naturally hear the meaning behind her mother’s words. She disliked Sean because he didn’t work and used he

At this moment, at the Natalie family home, Jennie looked at Mega and asked, “Sis, is brother-in-law not coming to celebrate Dad’s birthday again this year?”Mega was slightly worried about Sean Diningrat. Before she could respond, she heard her mother, Natalie, say coldly, “Someone as useless as him doesn’t matter whether he comes or not. Don’t let me feel annoyed just by seeing him.”“Mom, he will come. He went to buy a gift,” Mega said with a bitter smile. After Sean’s failed attempt to start a business three years ago, her mother had grown extremely displeased with Sean Diningrat, and Mega had long been used to her mother’s attitude toward him.“He’s a poor man supported by a woman. What kind of gift could he possibly afford to buy? Don’t let that gift embarrass him later,” Natalie said as she turned her face away.“Yeah, the gift brother-in-law can buy is probably only worth a few hundred thousand at most. Unlike Fikri, he gave Dad a belt from a famous brand,” Jennie said proudly

“You wanted to break Young Master Sean’s neck?” After Sean left, Abimanyu stared at Jefri with a serious expression.“B-Brother Abimanyu, who exactly is he?” Although Jefri felt a bit panicked, he still hadn’t realized how serious the situation was.“Do you think someone as insignificant as you is qualified to ask about Young Master Sean’s identity?” Dio snorted. “You only need to know that there are very few people in Bandung who can afford to provoke him.”“Dio, stop wasting words on him. Young Master Sean is already angry. Don’t let Young Master Sean find out that this bastard follows us, otherwise none of us will have an easy life later,” Fahrul said.“What you said makes sense. Oh right, do you know what Young Master Sean meant?” Dio nodded and looked at Abimanyu.“You really have a shrimp-sized brain. This bastard wanted to break Young Master Sean’s neck, and Young Master Sean already said it himself. That means he wants us to break his arm,” Abimanyu said seriously.“Hehe, my b
