Chapter 3 The Devil Queen

"Indeed? Let's hope you survive. We can discuss that later. But for now, you don't deserve to inhabit the same world as decent human beings, Emine. Send my regards to Nora and tell her how dearly I miss her," Aiden smirked, before coldly exiting the ward.

Unbeknownst to anyone, a sigh of relief escaped him as he reached the door.

Emine had already slipped into unconsciousness, still trapped in agonizing pain.

................

After regaining consciousness, Emine found herself in an unfamiliar room filled with strange equipment. She instinctively checked her stomach and discovered it was sealed, leaving her bewildered.

"Where am I?" she murmured, fear creeping into her voice. All she could remember was, she fell unconscious at the cemetery because she was afraid of the chilled wind that blew around her . But how did she end up being here?

Suddenly, the door swung open, revealing a man in a white lab coat. His voice was reassuring as he greeted her, "Finally, you're awake."

Anxious and unsure, Emine asked, "Who are you?"

"Relax, I mean you no harm. I am your savior," the man replied, sensing her fear. "I can see that you have been wronged and desire to seek revenge. Don't worry, I will help you."

Curiosity mixed with skepticism, she inquired, "How do you intend to help me?"

"I will train you to become powerful, so strong that no one would dare to trample on you," he explained.

"Really? You believe I can be strong enough to take revenge?" Emine asked, her voice tinged with doubt.

"Yes, I understand your doubts, but just believe in me," the man assured her.

Emine hesitated for a moment, her eyes turning cold. Finally, she made up her mind, saying, "Fine, let me give it a try."

"Aiden, just five years. I promise to make you suffer ten times more than what I went through," she vowed silently.

...................

Five years later...

The door burst open, and a group of men in black entered the room, gripping their guns tightly, ready to shoot at a moment's notice. The atmosphere grew tense as their breaths and footsteps filled the silence.

Inside the room, a man and his two bodyguards lay lifeless, brutally murdered, his manhood was cut off, his left eye was removed and his right hand was cut off. The scene was devastating, as the men couldn't fathom that their young master had met such a brutal end.

Upon closer inspection, a chilling message was carved on the man's forehead: "Devil Queen."

"It's the Devil Queen! Find her!" the leader of the men ordered, his mind filled with perplexity. Massaging his temple, he pondered how to explain this gruesome murder to the young master's grandmother.

"How did the young master offend this devil?" the leader mumbled, lost and unsure of his next move.

Little did he know, the Devil Queen didn't need a reason to kill. Her sense of reason was lost, and as long as you had enough money, she would fulfill your darkest desires.

Many had heard of her, but no one had ever laid eyes on her. Contacting her was only possible through the fake profile she created.

"Boss, we couldn't find her," one of the men reported.

"Damn it! This bitch is really getting on my nerves. If I ever get my hands on her, I'll slaughter her like an animal. I'll avenge the young master, even though, I know I'm no match for her. I won't let it slide," the leader fumed, loosening his necktie and striking the wall in frustration.

"Clean up this mess and send the young master's body to his family," he commanded, storming out of the room.

Unaware that the Devil Queen overheard his curses, he left the villa and returned home. Upon entering his house, he sensed a presence but couldn't find anyone.

"Was I hallucinating?" he murmured, pouring himself a drink and contemplating the unsettling events.

Suddenly, the lights in the room went out. "What's happening?" he asked himself, his fear growing.

"Well, I heard you cursing me. How brave of you to dare to threaten me," a chilling voice resonated through the darkness, making the hairs on his body stand on end.

"Who are you?" Panic consumed him instantly.

"It's me, the one you've been searching for," the voice replied playfully, and he felt her getting closer.

"Don't come any closer!" he pleaded, stretching out his trembling hands.

"Aww, are you afraid? It's been a while since I've met an opponent. I thought today would be fun, but it seems I've wasted my energy," the Devil Queen expressed in a disappointed tone, swiftly slashing his neck with a knife she held.

"Have a nice day," she smirked, leaving the room.

She had intended to slip away quietly after completing her task, but this man had pushed her buttons with his curses. She had anticipated a thrilling encounter, but he turned out to be nothing more than a weakling, a waste of her energy.

"Book me a flight; it's time to go back," she ordered, picking up the phone and dialing a mysterious number.

"Miss, are you going back to America?" the person on the other end inquired.

"Yes, it's time to start something fun," she replied wryly, her smile startling the people around her.

Who would have thought such a young girl could cause such havoc? "Aww, American, American, should I console or congratulate you? Going back home feels good. My enemies have been enjoying their peace, but it's time to send them a welcome gift and let them know I'm back. No more hiding in the shadows; I don't want them to let their guard down so the game can be truly enjoyable."

...............

Aiden's Office...

"Good morning, boss."

"Morning. Have you found any clues regarding the task I assigned to you?" Aiden, buried in his work, asked without lifting his head.

"No, boss. We haven't found her. The security guard claims he doesn't know how or when she escaped from the cemetery."

"Five years have passed, and I still haven't found a single clue. Let her continue to hide; I'm sure one day I'll find that bitch," Aiden proclaimed, his eyes filled with unyielding hatred as he snapped his pen in frustration.

No one knew how Emine had managed to escape. Aiden had been relentlessly searching for her for the past three years, yet she seemed to have vanished into thin air.
