Chapter:-28 (Promise and cheating)

{one week later}

Jonathan still had yet to call Trisha back. He wanted to, badly. He wanted to call Trisha back more than anything. Especially tonight.

Tonight marked when Trisha and Jonathan would have been mate with eachother 2 years ago. If Jonathan hadn't royally screwed it up. Of course, it wasn't completely his fault, but he wasn't innocent either.

Jonathan resolve was wearing thin, and it didn't help that he was wallowing in his sadness. So, instead of being the smart, reasonable person he was, he downed the rest of his drink and picked his phone up to make a call.

He heard the telltale sign of the answering machine, and had to wonder if Trisha was safe at the time.

"Hello, Trisha. I hope you're doing alright. I shouldn't be calling. I really really shouldn't. But I miss you.
