The Curse - 04

Leona just came out from her room. As usual, the apartment was very quiet. There was no sound she could hear, other than the rubbing of her slipper against the floor.

Leona looked at the television, which was always off since the first time she saw it. She also started turning it on. At least not bad enough to reduce the eerie aura in an apartment as luxurious as this.

"Do you want to watch TV?" asked William who had just arrived.

Leona turned her head quickly. He nodded with a smile.

"The voice bothers me," William said with a flat face.

"Have you never watched TV?" Now it was Leona's turn to ask questions. William answered with a shake of his head.

Leona giggled in horror. How could there be a human in this world like William.

"You even have a very large TV here. Are you too busy that you don't have time to watch it?" Leona pop-up as she got up and approached William.

"I just don't like it," replied the boy, then walked away from Leona's face.

Leona followed suit. She is indeed quite reckless when she feels anxious about something.

"What do you want to do now? If you don't have anything to do, let's try watching TV every now and then!" persuaded Leona.

"I'm going to cook for my dinner," William replied lazily.

The man started to open the refrigerator. He was a little surprised to see the appearance of the refrigerator that was different from usual.

"You don't mind, if you share the refrigerator with me? I also need a place to store groceries," said Leona, who seemed to be aware of change William's face.

William did not answer. The man took a bag of meat and closed the door again.

"Wait! I've cooked for our dinner," said Leona while holding back William's steps.

William stared at the girl with a flat gaze. As if to say that he didn't care what the girl said. Because indeed, as much as possible William wanted to act as if there was no girl in his unit.

Leona took the meat in William's hand, "if you are hungry, let's eat my cooking!" asked Leona with a smile.

"You are really annoying," William muttered still with his flat face.

Leona furrowed her brows. She had the utmost good intentions to cook William. Why did the man even think of her like a pest?

"Didn't you tell me to stay here by yourself? But why did you-"

"I told you to stay, but I won't let you disturb my life," William replied as he reclaimed the meat from Leona.

Leona did not remain silent. She reclaimed the meat and hid it behind her back.

"I've cooked for two people. At least help me spend it tonight!" asked Leona in a pleasing tone.

William's gaze was still the same, cold. He seemed not at all concerned with the whining of the girl in front of him.

"I can't eat carelessly," he replied at last.

"I cooked meat for you. I only know you can eat meat. That's why I made it. After this, you can tell me, what food do you like. And I will try to make it for you every day," said Leona.

William examined the appearance of the girl in front of him from toe to head. Leona shuddered in horror at the look William had on her. His mind began to wander thinking about nonsensical things.

"How? You agree, right?" Leona asked impatiently.

"I'm not attracted to aggressive girls like you." The unexpected answer left William's mouth.

This time, Leona stared at the boy in front of her fiercely. "You think I'm attracted to you?" she asked.

"Yes. Aren't you trying to get my attention?" William asked back.

Leona snorted in annoyance. She walked to the refrigerator then put William's meat roughly.

"Listen carefully! I'm doing this for the sake of building good chemistry with you. You remember, we were asked to stay together so we can get to know each other and build good chemistry before starting shooting film?" scolded Leona which William did not accept earlier.

William smiled crookedly at Leona's account, which he thought was just an alibi.

"Why are you smiling like that?" snapped Leona who could no longer contain her irritation.

William stepped forward. Scrape the distance between himself and the innocent girl in front of him. A lopsided smile was still printed on his lips.

Leona slowly stepped back. Trying to maintain a distance between herself and that strange man. However, William was still moving forward, making Leona shudder in horror as she was only alone with this man on this floor.

If William did anything to Leona, no one would be able to help her.

Tap

Leona jumped in surprise when her hips touched the dining table. Meanwhile, in the front there, William's distance from himself was thinning. Leona's breathing grew increasingly ragged, feeling a strange pounding in her chest.

'Is he that jerk? No! You must not be afraid, Leona! Show that you are not just ordinary girl! ' monologue Leona to herself.

Tap

William stopped in his tracks. However, the distance between him and Leona was really thin. Leona glanced to the right and left. Looking for an opportunity to escape from the man.

However, just as Leona was about to shift sideways, William had already locked her up. Now, Leona's position is really squeezed by the dining table and William's burly body.

"Get off!" said Leona, trying to maintain her attention.

Instead of stepping aside, William chuckled at the expulsion of the girl in front of him. This made Leona even more scared, but as much as possible she still tried to endure it.

"I said get out of my face!" Leona snapped as she tried to push William's body away.

"Admit it, you like me, right?" William insisted, leaning his face forward.

Leona shook her head slightly. She didn't dare to move too much in a position like this.

'My heart ... why does it feel like this? No! You can't be charmed by this bastard, Leona! You must not be weakened by love!' thought Leona still encouraging herself.

William's face drew closer. And Leona has no room to escape. Her hands were shaking, but she squeezed tightly so that her poor condition would not be noticed by William.

William kept his face forward. Leona closed her eyes in resignation. She didn't know what that man really wanted.

Will William kill her? Or will he kiss her? Leona really couldn't guess what the boy was thinking.

"Don't ever put your heart on me! Don't expect more! I let you stay, doesn't mean you can be impudent to put your heart on me," William whispered in a low voice, making Leona even more difficult to breathe.

Cup

Leona's breath caught. She could feel something moist against her cheek. Did the man kiss her just now?

What did he mean not to let Leona fall in love with him, but one second later he was kissing her on the cheek like that?

What did the man named William Redorge really want?

"You think I kissed you because I was attracted to you? Hmm .. don't expect too much! I just want to prove to you, about your feelings. You like me, don't you?" whispered William before he finally turned his face away.

Plakkk

Leona can no longer hold back her frustration. She pushed William hard after she had slapped him on the cheek.

"You are bastard!" shouted Leona then walked quickly leaving the boy who was still frozen in place.

After Leona's departure, William snorted in annoyance, "This is like a slap from a woman? You weak," he muttered.

"Let me show you what the word bastard really means to that hypocrite girl. The game is just about to begin, Leona Russel," William whispered as he stared at the door to Leona's room which had just closed roughly.
