Chapter 16

Irene's P.O.V

I trudged up the stairs, glancing behind me to be sure that no one noticed my absence at the dining hall. Finding the room where Supreme Alpha Conan was, was pretty easy because all the rooms had name tags on the door.

All of a sudden, I stood frozen to a spot when I caught sight of a large portrait hanging on the wall. I moved closer to the picture with my hands crossed behind my back. It was a picture of the Supreme Alpha and three young men that I couldn't recognize with the way they looked goofy. I darted my eyes toward the one who placed his hand on the Supreme Alpha's shoulder.

His eyes were cold, yet he had a bright smile on his face that looked like it could illuminate the darkest corners of a room. "Xavier" A slight frown formed on my face as I kept my gaze fixed on his portrait.

The only thing that I wanted to do was do the things to his portrait that I wouldn't dare do to his physical self. Images of me stabbing his pictures so many times flashed in
