Chapter 25

Xavier's P.O.V

I tapped my feet anxiously on the ground, glancing at the huge wall clock hanging on the wall. "What could be taking them so long?" I muttered under my breath when a call jolted me out of my thoughts. I reached my hand for my phone, staring at the name that popped up on my screen. It was Kourtney.

"Hey Xavi, how are you?" I heard her say as soon as I picked up the call. "I am fine, of course. How are you as well?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the wall clock. I had sent Damian to fetch Irene so that she could get dressed up before we go to the event but they weren't here yet.

"I just wanted to ask about your well-being and you know I heard that......"

Before she could finish her statement, I cut in. "I thought we met yesterday? Why are you asking again? Are you sure that you are really fine?" I asked, obviously getting annoyed with the fact that she was asking too many questions. "My mind kind of strayed towards you and I....."

I cut in again. "Kourtney, I
