MEGAN’S POV.

"Mmmm."

I muttered as my eyes fluttered open. Immediately, a wave of pain assaulted my head and it was as if I had a thousand horse galloping in it.

I didn't know how long I had slept nor did I want to know, but the pain all over my body made me feel terrible. My legs were all sore as of I had done some heavy work.

Where the hell was I?

The last thing I could remember was fainting due to the loss of blood after that strange man almost sucked me dry?

"How many days, have I been asleep?" I muttered under my breath as something struck me.

But no matter how much I thought, the pain in my head continued to increase and I has no other choice but to push away the thought.

Suddenly the smell of food wafted into my nose and my stomach grumbled. Immediately a pang of hunger hit me, making me realize how hungry I was.

I had to look for something to eat. I could care less about where I was. The only thing I could thinking about was food.

"Arrrghh!"

I yelled in pain immediately my legs touched the floor. It was as if I stepped on needles as the pain travelled all through my legs.

I quickly looked around and began to wonder where the hell I was.

Everywhere looked unfamiliar, making me wonder if I was actually held hostage in the hands of any kidnapper or something.

My eyes roamed around, trying to find anything that would tell me where exactly I was and who kidnapped me. I even tried walking around slowly but still there was no sign of anyone who knew I was here. It was like I was the only person in this place.

I was having a very severe headache, coupled with the fact that I was feeling very heavy in my limbs which caused my legs to hurt. I had no idea why I felt so tired when I woke up.

I quickly decided to figure out where I was, and if I could quickly escape.

I managed to tiptoe out of the room,

not wanting to alert whoever else might be in here that I was awake. The door creaked slightly as I opened it and instantly, the strong smell of bacon and eggs filled my nostrils causing me to sniff in the air at the pleasant scent.

As soon as I managed to come out from the room, I knew that it depended on me that moment to locate the exit, so I could hurriedly leave there.

As I was about moving, I noticed a figure approach the door.

It turned out to be a lady. She seemed to be strict and wicked because she wasn’t even wearing a slight smile when she saw me.,

As she reached the doorway, she looked back at me, "Oh...hello." She said with a smirk on her face, and her voice contained the slightest hint of a foreign accent."Hey!" I responded weakly," Where am I?" I asked in a quiet voice, hoping not to make too much noise.

"This is where you’ll stay for a while," She answered, her tone sounding cold, and looking directly at me. She was eyeing me like she wanted to devour me at the moment, and I couldn't help but think about running for my life. However, my body wouldn’t listen to my conscious mind at first and I found myself nodding at every word she said.

“Okay thank you,” I muttered silently and she hissed loudly.

“Uhmmm...” I simply said and turned to leave, when she muttered something.

I quickly turned to face her with a confused look.

“You...You said something?” I asked her and she rolled her eyes at me.

“I wonder if you think that I don’t know who you are....just know that I’ll deal with you whenever the time is right,” She said and I creased my brows.

I was wondering why she was acting weird when I was sure that I have never met this lady before.....

Then why was she acting like she knew who I was?

“Excuse me,” I said, staring at her intently and she chuckled.

“She said excuse me...” She laughed loudly and I furrowed my brows, wondering what I said that sounded funny.

“Look here....If you want to enjoy your stay here, you have to respect me,” She said and I nodded.

“I’ll make sure that you have no way of getting any information here, so you’d feed your hungry boss who’s craving for information,” She said and I blinked my eyes thrice.

I just couldn’t believe what this lady was telling me.

I was surprised and shocked when I heard what she said.

She was indirectly calling me a spy!

“I don’t understand what you said,” I said slowly and she shrugged.

“I didn’t say it for you to understand,” She shrugged and turned to leave.

“I’m not a spy,” I said and she halted abruptly.

She turned around with a smirk plastered on her face.

“What did I say about according respect to me?” She asked and I rolled my eyes lightly.

I honestly didn’t know who this lady was, and the fact that she was acting so powerful and superior irked me to the bones.

“What did you just do,” She said taking slow strides towards me.

“And what did I do?” I fired back.

I was obviously not in the mood to banter words with her, but the fact that she was always putting words in my mouth made me talk back at her.

“Don’t dare me!” She said, her body trembled with anger.

“What’s with you...” I was saying when she landed a terrible blow on my face.

I clenched my fists, feeling an unfamiliar surge of energy course through my veins. It wasn’t even feeling like I was weak few minutes ago.

“How dare you!” I spat angrily.

Her eyes were cold, and her voice held a sharp edge that sent a shiver down my spine.

I squared my shoulders and met her gaze, trying to muster up as much bravery as I could. "I'm not afraid of you," I spat, my voice trembling ever so slightly.

She smirked, and without warning, lunged at me. Her fist connected with my face, and I stumbled backward, the pain momentarily blinding me. I tasted blood in my mouth, but instead of feeling fear or panic, a new sensation began to grow within me.

I felt…powerful.

My body seemed to respond on its own as I dodged her next attack and countered with a punch of my own. To my surprise, my fist connected with a force that sent her flying back. She crashed into the wall, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

"What the hell was that?" she snarled, recovering quickly and charging toward me again.

I couldn't explain it, but I knew I had to use this newfound strength to my advantage. With each blow we exchanged, I felt stronger and more capable, as if I was tapping into some hidden reservoir of power. My heart raced with exhilaration, but I couldn't let myself get carried away.

Despite my newfound strength, She was still a formidable opponent. It seemed she had trained for years because it was evident in her swift, calculated movements, and she continued to press the attack. She landed several powerful blows, leaving me breathless and desperate to keep up.

As we traded punches and kicks, I realized that my raw strength wasn't enough to secure a victory. Her experience and technique were too much for me to handle, and I began to falter. My movements became sluggish, my reactions slow, and I could feel the tide of the fight turning against me.

With a final, powerful kick, The lady sent me sprawling to the ground. Gasping for breath, I stared up at her, the pain from my injuries finally catching up to me. She stood over me, victorious, her chest heaving as she struggled to catch her breath.

"Always remember you're no match for me." She said

I let out a weak laugh, my body aching all over. "Maybe not," I conceded. "But now I know what I'm capable of, and I won't back down from you or anyone else." I spat confidently, and I became surprised and began to wonder how I suddenly built up this confidence.

As I lay on the cold floor, battered and bruised, I was surprised about something...

The fact I had discovered something valuable – a hidden strength which I have never found out before, made me excited.

The lady took slow strides before me and raised her hand to punch me, when I began to crawl backwards in fright.

She kicked me mercilessly, almost knocking me unconscious.

She leaned closer to me on the floor I laid, with her fist raised, ready to blow me mercilessly.

"Stop it!" An angry roar came from behind and the next thing I knew was the woman who was ready to send me to Hades was sent flying.

I could hear her grunts of pain when she hit the wall with a loud thud.

I sighed in relief seeing this and I couldn't hold back the darkness that was trying to swallow me and then I forcibly gave in.
