We both pull apart and I look away awkwardly.

I was just about to kiss Atlas.

My heart thumped loudly in my chest as I looked at him, waiting for him to pick the call.

Atlas reaches over for his phone, picking it up. The call was from Bren and so he immediately picked the call.

“Hey?" Atlas asked the moment he picked the call, wondering why Bren was calling him by this time.

I could hear Bren speaking over the phone but I couldn't make out what he was saying.

My curiosity is sparked as I watched as Atlas’ face darkened and he pushed off the bed.

“I would be there right now," He said to Bren, hanging up.

Atlas immediately picked his phones and keys, about to head out.

“What's wrong? Did anything happen?" I asked him, leaving the bed too.

I could tell that something had happened and I knew it was going to be because of the company.

Is Gabriel causing trouble for them?
