I stood over the counter, making coffee absentmindedly. I haven't been able to focus since I had that conversation with Danica plus last night's events made it all worse for me.

I hadn't spoken to Atlas since then, he left before I woke up and I haven't seen him since then.

I grabbed my mug of hot coffee absentmindedly, I held the body of the mug forgetting that the coffee was still hot.

I screamed when it burnt my head, my hand throbbing in pain.

I instantly let go of the cup and I close my eyes, expecting the cup to break and the contents to splash on me. I was ready for the pain that was about to come.

When I don't feel anything, I open my eyes to see the cup hovering in the air a few inches away from the ground.

My palm was red and hot and I was afraid that it would blister.

I asked my wolf to heal the burn and she happily complied.
