AESPIA POV

" I need you in my room right now," he yelled at me.

My legs were so rooted to the ground because of fear, I blinked my eyes repeatedly at him, hoping he would change his mind.

" I'm sure you heard me," he said before leaving.

" You should not still be standing there, the Alpha hates to be kept waiting" one of the maids said, she scoffed and then walked away.

I found the strength to lift my legs up from the ground. I went to meet him in his room.

My hands were shaking even as I lifted it up to open the door.

I stood there, looking at him, he was backing me, with his face at the window side, looking outside.

" Did you really do it?" I heard him ask.

I was quiet, not because I did not know the answer to that question but because I was way too scared, I was scared of what Cara was going to do to me when she gets better, I was also scared of what the Alpha would do to me.

" Are you always like that? I asked you a question and you should not be quiet about it" he said.

" I'm... I'm sorry" I stuttered.

" Go on and answer my question" he said, taking a quick glance at me before he faced the window.

" I did not do anything. I will never do what they accused me of doing. I was asked to brew the coffee for her and I did just that, I never added anything else to it" I said.

He was silent for a while,then he turned. He was putting on a jacket but the buttons were left opened.

I could see his bare chest and how hot it was, I would not blame Cara for desiring him and not letting another person get close to him.

He ran his hands through his hair and I could feel something all over my body. I wanted him to hold me close, I wanted to feel his hands around me, he looked so hot and manly.

" I can not believe she asked you to make her coffee, she has a group of personal maids that do that for her," he said.

His voice was calm and it sent peace to my soul.I loved it each time he spoke as I watched how his lips moved. But I loved when he was quiet as well, he would always look perfect.

" I was asked to do it and was made to know that I would be doing it as long as I stayed here" I said.

He paced around the room.

" I will take care of this mess," he said.

I don't know what he meant by that, I don't know how he was going to do that.

" Thank you," I muttered.

I turned and was about to leave when he asked me to wait. I did.

" If there is anything going on that you want me to know, let me know about it as soon as I can," he said.

I was not going to let him know about this, it was going to bring nothing but trouble to me and that was what I do not want, I do not want any trouble whatsoever.

I went to my room and sat on the bed, thinking of Cara and when she was going to be back home.

I saw the way Alpha Xyren was nonchalant about Cara and never panicked.

I believe with time,I was going to be like that. I was even so compassionate towards her that I ran out to call for help but I guess it was going to be over soon.

" Hey, what did he say to you?" The maids were back in my face.

" It is none of your business" I pissed through them and went to my room.

I could not sit or do anything while being in my room. I decided to leave the room and go outside the house.

I know I have not been properly introduced but I did not mind,I went outside to look at how beating the surroundings were.

It did not take long, a cat pulled in and it was Cara.

I was shocked,confused and kept wondering why she was back too early, was she not meant to remain in the hospital till she was better?

The car door was opened for her. She stepped out of the car gently, like she was going to die of something.

She walked slowly inside the house,I followed her inside the house as well.

" I was told about what happened,I can not believe that such a thing was ever going to happen" I said.

She stopped walking and faced me.

" You little thing,you wanted to make sure that I get dead so you can have all of these things to yourself right?" She said,

She looked very serious saying that to me,it seemed a little fear left me after she accused me herself.

I went closer to her.

" Swear it that I put anything in your drink. One of the maids did that to you and not me,do not accuse me of trying to kill someone" I shot back at her.

She was shocked that I would talk back at her or I would say something back at her. I did not like that she thought I was always going to keep quiet about things.

" You said something?" Her mouth was still open in shock.

I took a good look at her, it seemed she was not anywhere close to the hospital. She looked fresh and good,like nothing had happened to her.

I did not want to appear insensitive to the rest,but something tells me that she lied about being poisoned.

My wolf was shut against me,I would have asked her who did that to her drink? Or was anything even done to her drink? Maybe she was faking all of it.

" I hope she gets punished for what she has done," Cara said before walking away.
