A RESTRAINING ORDER

“Alaric, listen to me. You have to stay at the cottage with Sienna. If you come to the court, I am not sure you can control yourself.” Elliot argued with his brother for the hundredth time but he was unrelenting.

“I know I can control myself, Elli. I have left him alive all these days…” Alaric said adjusting his tie.

Elliot almost tore out all his hair in frustration. Then, he realized that he was playing the wrong cards all along. He bit his cheeks to maintain a straight expression and said in a serious voice, “I am afraid that Ranger would take advantage of this situation and attack our house while we are away.”

Alaric’s eyes widened in realization and he blurted out instantly, “Damn! I didn’t think like that. You are right, I should stay back to protect Sienna.”
